You could do a basketball bubble if the season were cut down to conference play only. With 18 games to complete, you could do that in less than seven weeks.
Imagine starting conference play right after the start of the new year (let’s go with Monday, January 4). Play games on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays like normal, but you would play three games some weeks. At 5 games every 2 weeks, you would finish up conference play on February 20, or could stretch the regular season out to Feb 27. Or, if you needed to back things up, start the bubble on January 18, wrap on March 6, Big 12 tournament runs March 11-13, NCAA tournament starts the next weekend.
Its basically 8 weeks in the bubble (including the conference tournament). If you include the first two weeks of January, that’s 10 weeks total. It’s not perfect, but it is doable.
