Kevin McCullar. I am seeing A LOT of “McCullers” and some “McCullars” as well. The first one I am thinking must be a phone auto-correct thing because it is so frequent. Yeah sorry for this thread, I’m bored and waiting for more news lol. There’s an entire thread misspelling his name on another site.

Though its hard to imagine Illinois as a nike flagship. Illinois brand wouldnt sell like Duke or Kentucky? Kentucky was way down prior to Cal showing up and was struggling in recruiting big time. In the 4 years prior to Calipari, Kentucky had lost 12+ games each season amd had lost 10+ games in 5 of their previous 9 seasons. Once Pitino’s players filtered out, UK struggled in recruiting and wasn’t until Calipari and Worldwide Wes showed up that they returned as a flagship program. The end of Tubby Smith’s time at Kentucky and 2 seasons of Billy Gillespie at UK had them trending the wrong way in regards ro relevance. In a different timeline where Self stayed at Illinois, I could definitely see them becoming a flagship program for Nike and the Jordan Brand due to the proximity to Chicago.

  Jaybate kept me hooked to this group (my 3rd user name now). I drifted away when he left but continued to read off and on. Think we are all looking for more laughter and good times. Two minutes before the NC tip my 5 year old granddaughter had the runs, my 17 year old pug threw up, 7 year old granddaughter kicked over a giant glass of red Gatorade, and then there was the first half….at the buzzer my 11 year old granddaughter and I danced around the room while the younger ones slept. Sports bring people together-best spring break I ever had at 66!

  I suspect the NBA “farm system” will continue upping its ante to challenge NIL money so they can continue to pouch college kids to leave early. It’s misguided greed that probably hurts the NBA more than help by not letting the college system develop players a little longer in a more wholesome world. It’s not easy to create a sentence where I have “college” and “wholesome” in the same sentence.

  Who was on the cover of the NCAA champions edition of SI? Coach K’s last March. Not the actual champions whom ever that was. Really irked me as I wanted a companion to Mario’s miracle SI cover.
