  @stoptheflop What do you define as “refuse to lose?” They got smoked by UK. Other than that they’ve found a way to win at home. Double OT on a refuse to lose shot by Och. Last second refuse to lose Harris shot against ISU. KJ locks down Goldwire to close out OU. Beat the life out of Baylor. Beat the soul out of Mizzou. Not sure how this season is any different than previous ones.

  Big Dave graphic spanning across three windows on the front of Wendy’s in Lawrence (23rd St). They painted the awning crimson and blue too which is kind of weird looking. Looks better in person… I was driving and took kind of a bad photo. Not sure what he got out of the deal. (I’m not even sure if Dave eats fast food… heard he was kind of a healthy eater kind of guy.)

  @drgnslayr I would add to the good that this team can score even against good defense and still was able to instill some sort of pace to the game even without a lot of transition buckets. Also, doubling up on that toughness comment. We’ve had teams in the past that would have shied away from that physicality and been bullied out of the arena. I would add to the bad, Dave looked VERY injured at the end of that game. It looked to be a foot or leg thing.

  @BeddieKU23 he literally is and even against top 10 teams on the road won more than he’s lost by a decent amount. In season big games, he wins at a clip that I’m 99% is the highest among active coaches.

  You can’t be too deep in thought and expect to play well. “Think and react” translates to “slow and stiff.” He has to learn to bypass that part of the mind. Use his mind on the court only to stimulate an immediate response. He’ll play faster, be loose, and achieve his potential if he can do this. I suggest he learn to meditate and then first apply it at practice. Once he figures it out, bring it to a game. He can get himself in an altered state that limits his brain function and helps him focus on play.
