  @BShark The only time I saw Froling was in the Nike Hoop Summit game. He looked pretty good but from what I’ve read was having problems with the speed of the game so far. Copeland would be a take from my opinion especially with our post situation looking murky at best going forward.

  @BeddieKU23 Bragg is one of our two upside bigs (Lucas, Coleby and Lightfoot are jags right now) so I can see where him improving would really help the team. He has also had fairly decent numbers just not what we were hoping for. He isn’t needed but he sure would help.

  Question…does it really make a difference if you beat a team by 20 or 30 or 40 points? If you are ahead by 20 points, should you keep your foot on the gas and run up the score or just coast and not spend any more effort than you have to, knowing that if you have to you can build up the lead again? Isn’t it better, once you have build up a lead, to try different combinations and schemes…or rest players as many here would prefer, and use the rest of the game as a live laboratory instead of running up the score? I get it that the computer ranking take point differential into account, but if I understand correctly, after a certain point it really does not make that much of a difference. Interested in what you all think.

  @JayHawkFanToo The College of Charleston game took a turn you don’t usually see. Davidson was up 11 after the first TV timeout in the 2nd half and then missed 11 straight shots and CofC went on this huge run to win. Clemson isn’t bad- they have a future NBA’er on their team in Blossomgame and could be a tournament team from the ACC. I do agree they have been blown out in games but I do think given the timing and where the game is that it potentially opens the game up to a closer then expected affair. We’ve seen KU struggle in Non-Conference play against decent teams at the Sprint Center ( 1st half against Oregon St last year, 2nd half vs Utah few years back). Gibbs is 4th in the country in scoring and I believe Davidson is the only team that has two 20 point scorers on its roster. Defensively I think this is KU’s biggest test since the Duke game and that is the side of the floor that I’ve been waiting for this team to take its next step. The defense has gone through the motions at times against easier competition and Davidson will come in looking to upset us. I’m certainly not predicting an upset, just expected a closer than expected win

  I think he posts negative comments because he enjoys the reactions. Some people can only be happy provoking people. Didn’t anyone here have an older brother who would always put down your favorite team, tv show, band, or whatever, just to get a rise out of you?

  @ralster @kjayhawks The havoc allows teams with limited talent to compensate with top physical conditioning. At Texas, Shaka has top shelf talent and he still uses a system that depend on physical preparation rather than the natural skill of his players. Brute force over finesse, quantity over quality…whatever you call it, it wastes the talent available to him. This is not to say that top conditioning is not good, it is, but well prepared natural talent trumps that any day.

  @drgnslayr Your are correct. We have to root for the others. It’s our saving grace as the true fans of college basketball and fans of College sports in general. Basketball started with KU and we must be the ambassadors of the game. (( A tip of the cap ))

Might be one of those times when he realizes… “I thought I was on the right track, but then the right track exposed itself and I realized I wasn’t on it.” He’s a good, quality guy.   @Lulufulu Scott Howard-Cooper does a weekly update on NBA ROY candidates. His top 2 both play for the Sixers and both were part of the 2014 draft class. Embid was hurt and Saric stayed in Europe for 2 years.   @drgnslayr Mason came from HS with a volume scorer reputation…didn’t he break Moses Malone record?.. and at times in his early goings he reverted to that. The big difference is that he has become a much better shooter and scorer, but more importantly, much more selective on the shots he takes; a very nice progression for Mason.
