  @JayHawkFanToo It will work quite well I suspect. I know neither the Roman Catholic Church, nor the US-Israel lobby are announcing that they want fewer seats on the bench, so that the Supreme Court can be more representative of the population at large. Seriously, the Vatican is just as complicated of a multi national organization as any. It has a long history of having schisms within it that lead it make alliances with seemingly unlikely allies in order to root out some of the internal problems that plague it, before moving forward with its longer term agenda.

  @JayHawkFanToo Speaking of doctors, I met Dr Christian Moody while I was working in the surgical intensive care unit at KU ummm back in 2012. Real nice guy. We BS’d about the current team, he even gave me an autograph just for kicks. Ah yah and I met Tyrel Reed coming out of work at the same place one day, probly right before one of his last classes in his PT school. Also, great guy.

  @dylans In my first week of classes I went jogging through campus, up and down the hills. I had always trained on flat ground before my Lawrence days. My calf muscles were ablaze for days.

  I guess maybe it was just me not really sure but I just DID NOT see the West Virginia beat down of Oklahoma State @ Gallagher coming. Sure I though WV had a chance to win - -a very good chance - -but they way they manhandled them - – just didn’t see that coming. - -Was I wrong in that thinking? let me know - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  I’m wondering… Can we win a national championship with a strong interior? I’m thinking… what team won the NC last that had a dominant post? I’m thinking UK in 2012… the unibrow. In '08 we had a solid post. But would I say it was our post play that dominated and won us the title? I think Cole had a big night against UNC. But it was our guard play that really took us to the big prize. Post presence is important, but not to the point where you have to give up who you are as a team. When you have to slow the pace, or run a mucked up offense to accommodate an interior game. NO. I’m not against size. I’m against clumsiness. I’m against slow play. I’m against awkward movement. I want to see speed. I want to see pace. I want to see teams use the entire court. I get excited when I see a big man that doesn’t play like a big man. Kevin Durant. The guy might be 6’ tall. He plays like it. Or… if a guy wants to play big, then I’m looking at JoJo. I’m looking at the unibrow. Players that really impact games. The NBA is littered with horrible skyscrapers. Horrible. That is probably the main reason there are only a handful of decent teams in the league now. Look at teams like Golden State. They utilize size like Green. He’s marginal in many areas, creates lots of issues both on and off court… but he fits their system. He gets that girthy frame hauling ass down the court. Just my opinion.

  @Texas-Hawk-10 Had UNC won the Championship last season, I think Coach Williams would have retired. The NCAA academic investigation of UNC has taken a big toll on him.

  @JayHawkFanToo “Graham has an opportunity to show what he can do against better competition and there will be plenty of it ahead.” Indeed. And Bill Self is no dummy. He knows Devonte isn’t really performing his most-effective ball right now. Devonte is his ace in the hole and when we really need him to have a big game, Bill will challenge him. I don’t think coaches usually want all their players performing at peak at the same time in the middle of the year. Sounds illogical, but since players play in performance cycles, you just want to have enough performance to chalk up wins, and then you want to try to peak as many players together as possible in March. It also helps provide some unpredictability among our competition. Keep them guessing which player or players we have that will knock them out. It could be about any of our top 7 players. Read what Dixon (TCU) said… how he was unprepared to have Vick dominate like he did.

KSU was up 11 with 3 minutes left and basically coasted to the end; not unlike what KU has done at times…remember KU was up 11 points over Duke with 6-7 minutes left and let Duke back in the game, human nature perhaps? In the old days before computers, wins and loses were mostly what counted; now, with the computerized rankings margin of victory counts a lot more, but in this generation of participation trophies, running up the score is considered bad etiquette and politically incorrect to beat up on weaker opponents. I say screw it, keep the pedal to the metal and run up the score, if they could do it to you they would any day of the week and twice on Sunday…now I am kidding of course…maybe? maybe not?

  @BeddieKU23 For the first 12 possessions of the game for KU…I was beginning to think we were going to repeat the YMCA game!! We couldnt buy a bucket or defend with tenacity. Then it got going!! Cudos to TCU for making it a close game. TCU could make the NCAAs this year. I was Sooooo wrong about the strength of the conference this season. Although, the season is young. Im still in the wait and see mode.

  TCU’s floor this year appears to be NIT and they could be a team that sneaks in the NCAA tournament this year. If they get to 8-10 in conference play with a win or two over KU, Baylor, or WVU, and win a Big 12 tournament game, and beat Auburn at home at the end of January, that would put them in the 20-21 range and in consideration for an at-large bid. I’d say, KU, Baylor, and WVU are tournament locks for the Big 12 with ISU, OSU, Tech, TCU, and KSU having the ability to make the tournament this year. I do believe ISU and OSU will get in and that KSU, TCU and, Tech will probably come down to the end of the season for possibly 1, maybe 2 tournament bids.
