  My hope is for Perry to be able to play well a week from tomorrow. We have won the Big 12 season crown. This league tourney, in my humble opinion, falls way second in importance to the NCAA circus. Perry comes back too quickly, maybe blows out that ACL, O MY! Bill Self is a tough, very competitive coach, not inclined to give an inch in the W/L column. But I am certain that he is weighing Perry’s situation very very carefully. PE represents the focus of current Bill Self Offense…and probably the offense for 2015-16. Bill will strive to protect that crown jewel.

  @drgnslayr I’ve had the same fears about blowback from Roy. But, it was over 12 years ago, so I think by taking Roy out, they would put it to bed. And they will take Roy out, willingly or not.

  I think KU fans underestimate the value of the conference tournament because we never have to worry about fighting to make it in. For the small time schools this is the chance to get their name out there. Helps with recruiting/revenue to the school etc… Besides that since the Big 12 has only 10 teams now and we are playing each school twice it’s saturating the quality of the tournament because teams have already battled each other. What’s their to gain by playing Baylor, ISU, OU, West Virginia again. Really there isn’t any value to that. In other power conferences like the ACC, Big 10, Pac 12 your not playing the same school twice anymore so if you get a say Duke/Virginia ACC final that actually has some excitement to it but if KU plays OU in the Big 12 finals its oh really a 3rd matchup… The excitement of it is gone.

  @HighEliteMajor Wayne’s inability to finish at the rim is a huge problem. The same could be said of his rebounding statistics. Given this and the fact that most on this board are down on him, why was he selected as an all Big XII honorable mention? The team is selected by the conference coaches. Although many if not most of the coaches are looked on here as something a dog leaves on a sidewalk, could they possibly see something that we don’t?
