  @BShark If I’m a bettin man - -I would be putting money on K-State as you say " Drilling KU " even without the win yesterday. I’ve seen enough of these K-State games this year - -they really struggle , do we beat them? - -I dunno. Although just like the article I read from KC Kingdom this morning, - - We are improving - like the article say , there have no blowouts this year , defense is improving , for sure better then last year , Also pointed out from the article if not for Pooka being suspended in our 1st game against Nichols - -we now would have 4 wins for the year , Improvements are being seen. 3 wins total in his first 3 yrs , and 3 this year alone again should be 4. - K-State is a very possible win. - - Now take note I said very possible - - - Now win? - - I dunno , just like you don’t know . – " Drilled ? – na I DOUBT that. - - – -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  So, who do you think the next coach might be? Look, it’s obvious Beaty is going to get the ax, he doesn’t win, and - with his job security being a constant public issue - can no longer recruit. So, who should it be? Please (though it might not be too bad of an idea) don’t say Mangino, that is a non-starter… I got one for you, Stoops, the fired Oklahoma DC (think about it for a minute…).

  @mayjay Lots of walk on players. I believe the roster at the KU website lists 105 players. My point was that if there are scholarships available, graduate transfers from major programs is a good option since they are immediately eligible and hopefully ready to contribute and lock the scholarship for only one year…better than picking up JuCo players. Others obviously disagree.

  @kjayhawks I like Bowen well enough as a position coach, DB’s have been one of the few position groups KU regularly sends to the NFL so Bowen is doing something right as far as player development goes. I think he’s a horrible play caller who absolutely failed to hide the weakness of the secondary this year and instead exposed them even worse. This was a year the defense needed to the aggressiveness up to 11 to create as much pressure as possible to force quick throws so hide the inexperience of the secondary. Instead, Bowen called a lot of 3 and 4 man rushes that routinely failed to get pressure on the QB and forced the secondary to cover for extended time which ended up with a lot of big pass plays surrendered.
