Bob lutz Wichita eagle question.
Really po’d me off
Bob Lutz 3:22 PM (17 votes)
Trying to be funny, Lutz asked this question. Self kind of shut him down.
Have you ever sent a thank you card to the teacher that gave Frank a failing grade in his senior year in high school? BILL SELF: No, I have not. You know, I know you were trying to be funny Bob, but the reality of it is, Frank didn’t qualify in high school, and he went to prep school to become academically qualified, and in four years here, in three and a half years he basically already has his degree. It’s always been inside of him.

RE: This is getting tiring.
But I do, but I care more about wanting it for Mason and the team who works their rears off all year, not for guys like you that gripe more than appreciate the work they put in to our program.

Maybe
Matt Tait (@mctait) 1/12/18, 12:14 PM Self, when asked Friday morning before practice if there was any news in the status of De Sousa and/or Preston, said: “I think it’s going to be a great Friday. TGIF. We’ve been waiting for Friday all week. Check with me at 5 o’clock. Who knows?” #KUbball

RE: 2024 NFL Offseason - FAs, Trades, Draft
I was offended! I can’t imagine sitting at my graduation, having loans, especially the cost now, and listening to him say life starts when I get married and have children. What are the diabolical lies we’ve been told? Even the Nuns didn’t Agee w/him. I don’t want him fired, he’s just not my type. Thank gosh my husband helped me around the house and was great w/the kids. When he died young, thank the good Lord I had a degree and we had life insurance. As a teacher I’ve had many different kinds of kids, I’ve always treated them the same. It’s opened my eyes and that’s been good for me. I’ve also had friends that needed IVF to have children and some friends that needed abortions-healthcare to save their lives or to save one twin or they would lose both. They all wanted children! I’m not Catholic. No offense, it’s not for me. I am a Christian and baptized.

RE: So here is a question after tonight
We can choose to dwell on this as a black mark forever, it’s certainly been a bad year. As far as behavior, this group has been pretty remarkable, considering what we had in the past few years. Silvio really screwed up! But he got the T. Then KSU bench came after him, he lost it. There are different views that show that. Silvio has never been in any trouble and most fans have stood by him while he sat out. He never used the chair, he might have? He didn’t. I would not call our guys thugs. Our coaches got in there, I saw Bruce on the fringe. Maybe we need to run up the score. Sick of that crap!

RE: Dok Dok Dok Dok Dok
It’s going to take me a long time to get over losing doke. I doke finds success. I think he needed these 4 yrs just to mature into a man to be ready for whatever lays ahead. We’ve seen the jamari, Benny mac, TRob and doke stories, just breaks your heart to hear what they’ve been thru. Just happy we got 'em for a lil while! Feel blessed.

RE: NC Game thread analysis
elly, Getty) “Yeah, it might be No. 1," Larrañaga said on the College Hoops Today podcast with Jon Rothstein. "The way Kansas came out with such a vengeance. Their defensive identity made it very tough to score. Their ability to run the floor at the highest level. We’ve coached against Duke and North Carolina, those are great running teams. Michigan State is a great running team. But I thought Kansas ran the floor better than any team I’ve coached against in my 51-year coaching career.”

From jay Bilas
Re: What’s with it with the friggin kcstar? 4:27 PM This comment from someone at the bottom of the story is perfect: ESPN’s Jay Bilas, who is also a practicing lawyer, gave one of the more balanced takes on the situation on College GameDay Saturday morning. “It comes down to a lot of things being conflated. Most of these are different issues and they are in a way separate,” Bilas said. “If you take the Lagerald Vick situation, a lot of people don’t understand and it’s difficult to wrap your head around because it’s a complicated legal issue, but that’s a Title IX investigation issue. Once it becomes and goes to a Title IX administrator, the investigation is basically done in secret. It’s a university issue that is dealt with under federal law. So the basketball office can’t know anything about that. So once it was dealt with by the university, there’s’s nowhere for the basketball office to go. It’s not told to them. They can’t even comment on it. So it’s very frustrating and puts the basketball office in a very difficult position. “The issue that went on in the basketball dorm at McCarthy Hall, where they say five players could be witnesses is totally separate. Because you are a witness doesn’t mean you know anything about what happened,” Bilas said. “These dorms are not full of only basketball players. They are majority non-athlete students that are in those things. So just because somebody’s a witness doesn’t mean there’s any punishment to be handed out. You may have seen somebody come in or leave or something like that. I don’t know what that is. But witness is different from person of interest or a suspect.” Bilas concluded the segment by saying he trusted Kansas coach Bill Self to do the right thing. “One thing I do know is Bill Self,” Bilas said. “I don’t know all the details, but the one issue that we know the details was Carlton Bragg and this drug paraphernalia issue, misdemeanor where he’s gone into a diversionary program. And he’s suspended. So we know the facts of that matter, and he’s suspended. These other issues that were university issues, another issue that’s a police issue [that] we don’t know the facts of and there’s been no action taken by the basketball department, it’s been taken by the university but not the basketball office. I happen to believe Bill Self is of the highest character. I don’t think for one second he would allow things that he knew to be a problem to exist. I really believe that.”

RE: Graham's Statement
@kjayhawks losing guys like that is tougher than losing the last game. It’s so much more for them than it can ever be for us.i hate this game for them. I was lucky enough to see all the great come from behind games at AFH the last few years and celebrate the conference championships and hear the senior speeches. They were so much fun!
