It was the best Clemence has looked since his freshman season. Fun game. Guys are generally finding their way in the system and, in some ways, they look good simply because this group is shooting better. Next up @Creighton… will be difficult.

Im not down on Zach either. He seems to have active hands on D. He doesnt seem to finish well but he can bring energy, 5 fouls and size and thats useful.

@approxinfinity Bill is notorious for starting guys but finishing with other guys. There’s no reason roster spot 6 and 7 shouldn’t be getting BIG minutes unless they just aren’t producing. Which is what is happening this year. Those 8-10 spots are really role dependent but we always need a back up big and a back up guard that can come in without any drop in level of play or even provide a spark or a little different look. If the dudes were there, Self would play them. He always has.

I’m disappointed but I don’t begrudge Kevin. He did a lot for this team and for the program the past two years. The hardest part of this for me is the lingering “what if?” What if he was still playing? What would our record have been with him? If Kevin wasn’t so good and so important, it simply wouldn’t hurt so much. We would have missed Kevin at the conclusion of the season no matter what. But, the fact that he played his last game early is where the extra pain comes from. Personally, I thank him for coming to KU and giving us some big wins and amazing memories.
