After all those losing years, it feels so good to be a Chiefs fan.
What can I say about Mahomes?
After all those losing years, it feels so good to be a Chiefs fan.
What can I say about Mahomes?
NFL is strict about concussion protocols. He will have to be cleared by an independent neurologist to play.
@Crimsonorblue22 he is feeling better but in concussion protocol Chiefs cautiously optimistic about him playing but it’s out of their control Reid said that they will work on both plans, with and without Mahomes
@jayballer67 yes jay we need him ready to go let’s hope so
@Crimsonorblue22 very gutsy call I did not see it coming
Henne earned his paycheck and some more today
I feel the same about him, he has talent that needs to be transferred into skills. He is long and can play multiple positions. He finishes well at the rim.
With more PT his confidence level will increase providing greater contribution.
On the other hand, if he does not get much PT I am afraid he may transfer.
That’s really cool.
Its Browns at Chiefs.
I hope that Chiefs come out hot and take couple of touchdown lead and let BM take it in his hands. They have a powerful running game so make them into a throwing mode.
I am a believer in Dave. I have been saying from the start that Dave is a double double caliber player. By no means he is at an elite level, however, he can still become Marcus M and even T-Rob type of a player.
His D needs improvement. His rebounding needs improvement.
Earlier in the season he was playing too fast, sped up and thinking too much. Now he seems to be playing more with a free mind. He is not sped up as much.
His Offense has improved immensely from last year. He has developed several good post moves. He has a decent mid range jumper. His FT is smooth.
Dave is a critical piece in this team’s success.
The body language of the team was off, it seemed that their head was somewhere else.
They did not show any fight, uncharacteristic of a Self coached team.
This could be one of those early 11 AM games after a long holiday hangover type of a situation or it could be something else going on within the program that may surface later down the road.
Chiefs and GB are scheduled to play in 2021, game #17, as an expanded season.
The Defense played solid considering that all 3 starting LBs were out, pass rush was effective.
Red zone Offense is still a bit concerning, too many trick plays.
I’m still wondering and SMH as to how did Chiefs got a W today.
I am still optimistic in that Dave can be a double-double player this year. He needs to slow down a bit, just play and not think too much while on the court.
Here is my wish for 2021 draft:
OL
OL
LB
WR
DE/DT
CB or TE (higher talent)
OL
Hopefully CEH is back by the playoffs or sooner.
Every time Robinson runs backwards with a ball in one hand I cringe.
Mahomes is getting hit after hit
Here we go
O line has to show up and not allow much pressure on Mahomes
My vote so far this season:
MVP: Ochai
Most improved: Jalen
Everyone is entitled to share their opinion although to think that Dave is not a good fit for this team is a bit myopic IMO
My post was referring to fans talking about encouraging Dave to transfer
I cannot imagine some fans are encouraging KU players to transfer, especially in current circumstances where they are sacrificing a lot for the school.
Dave played a key role in the win last night. He was in the lineup for crucial stages something we haven’t seen so far this season. Self trusted him and he delivered.
How do folks view Santana signing. I think that it is a positive move and an encouraging sign that the new leadership wants to fast track the re-build. I am optimistic that Royals can contend in 2022.
The Offensive line play this year is also hurting the Chiefs.
We never got to see MacVittie, injuries hurt his PT
This season has been strange in the sense that Chiefs seems to be dominating every game but somehow can’t put away the opponents.
Over the last 3 years, of all the RBs I have seen, and even though it is a very small sample size, my eye test says that Hinshaw is the best. He is the RB I can see playing on Sundays.
Lawson to me was more of a finesse type player.
Marcus was very lazy as a freshman, would not dunk to conserve energy, but continued to be more and more aggressive especially in his junior year
He can carve out a career by being a specialist on the Specials team.
He is very active around the rim, very aggressive. He can drive and finish against players taller than him. His D keeps getting better. He is relentless in his pursuit for the ball around the rim.
Wasn’t he dealing with any injury for most of the summer, early fall. This could explain the lag?
I read that a number of players have put their names in the transfer portal? Why so many kids are leaving now? Is this a warning sign for Miles?
If Self leaves my first choice to replace him will be Jay Wright.
If Wilson continues on this pace he may depart after this season.
Harris can play the role as an assassin off the bench.
I get a sense that in an effort to do too much he is sped up. I believe that with proper coaching this issue can be corrected.
For those following KU football closely, what is the take on the program. I understand that Les is doing a reasonably good job with recruiting and that the re-build would be a 3-4 year project, however, based on how things have progressed in the 1st two years what is the general impression.
DCHawk,
Zag is #1 rated in the country with really skilled Bigs and St Joe played a small lineup, all guards.
I do not believe that KU will see a team with such quality Bigs for the rest of the season.
Time will tell, however, I am still optimistic that Dave would be a much better player, double-double quality.
Self once again said that Dave will be this team’s highest scorer. How do folks feel about it. He has shown some good moves and his jumper is smooth.
Self also said that the two teams we faced this week were not good match ups for Dave especially St Joe.
Can Dave improve his D, I am still optimistic.
I read today that a Gonzaga player and a staff member had tested positive on Friday but they still played the game with Auburn. Both school officials and medical staff gave the green light. In my opinion the game should have been called off. I hope that KU does not get impacted.
The game changed completely with Harris as PG, the kid looked fearless.
Playing Harris takes pressure off Marcus. I loved his poise.
To me Wilson is the most improved player from last year.
Nice come back for Braun.
Abaji needs to keep shooting.
Enaruna has talent and length, hope that Self can give him more PT.
Bryce will be a star by next year.
For PG I’d rather have Mason and Graham type of players, no OAD please, although every once in a while it will be nice to have a Josh J, Wiggins etc.
