@DanR The defense was just fine after that Parchment TD. The Stanley pick is what broke them because the defense kept giving the offense opportunities today. That pick took the air out of the stadium.

If KU kicks deep, best case is they get the ball back with around 1:20 left around their own 30-35 yard line.
I donāt trust the defense to go 3 and out now so Iād onside it and hope for the best.

They played hard, Stanleyās INT was super costly but it was a great play by the defense. Hard to be too upset. We had our chances. On to TCU.

@Crimsonorblue22 the wasted 35 seconds on the 5 yard line with 2 runs. I said in my prediction we dont cough it up, we would win and little doubt that we wouldāve without the 2 TOs. But yes Iād be perfectly fine with a new OC after this season. We tried to run way to much in the first half. You can be stuffed on 1st so many times before a smart coach changes it up.

WV rushed for more yards than KU did, 192 to 142. That plus our 2 turnovers to 0 for WV sums up this loss.

@stoptheflop KU had more total yards but the really story was the turnovers. Time of possession wasnt helping a tired defense either.

Turnovers are a big difference this year. KU is -6 on the year now in turnover margin.

@Texas-Hawk-10 the reason why we are 2-2 and not 4-0 to be honest. The defense broke a bit much today but the decks stacked against you when the other team starts inside your 40 3 times.

KU would be 4-0 with Peyton Bender at QB this year.

@kjayhawks WVU only started one drive inside KUās 40 and that was the first onside kick. They had a couple of other drives that started on KUās side, but only one inside the 40. The Carter Stanley INT did lead to what was the game winning TD for WVU. KU had scored on the previous two drives before the pick and scored after the pick, so itās a safe bet KU wouldāve scored on that force without the pick as well.
Turnovers lost the game for KU tonight.

Better play calling first half shouldāve scored us a few more tdās and kept the D off.
