Melvin and Flory were great. Tre was awful in the first half but very good in the second. Tiller was fine. Darryn was hit and miss and will have to be better on Monday. Solid win. Rock Chalk!

@crimsonblu22 Doke was a great defender and lane protector but didn't have the same shot-blocking timing that Withey did. I stand by my guess that it was Withey

@crimsonblu22 I think he set a record for most shots blocked in one NCAA tournament. He is probably high in KU school history in most shots blocked in a game/season/career, though those record books would be different had blocks been tracked in Wilt's era.

I looked it up in the KU media guide. Withy holds school records for most career blocks, the top two seasons with most total block and most blocks per game (set the record in both as a junior and beat his own records as a senior), and has six of the top seven single game block totals, including numbers 1 and 2. He also set the record for most shots blocked in one ncaa tournament in 2012. Helluva shot blocker. BUT, I was wrong that he was the last Jayhawk (prior to Flory) with 7 in a game. That honor, as @crimsonblu22 correctly suggested, belongs to Doke, who blocked 7 shots against Baylor on January 11th, 2020.

For the record, I walk on the treadmill 30 minutes a day every day except Sunday. I take nowhere near as many steps in a week's time as Utah's #2 took today. He is a traveling man.

My thoughts on the game defense was solid most the day, we let up too many easy back door cuts for dunks. Which is primarily due to the switching. I think we had a ton of great looks from distance just missed them 3/18. My honest opinion of DP today was he was on the floor but not engaged in the game much. He was much better in the second half but he literally just stood there much of the first half. @nuleafjhawk the whole crowd was chanting travel half the game it was ridiculous how many they got away with. #0 about had 15,000 plus people waiting for him out in the parking lot after a very dirty play that has no business being in the sport. Tre may have had the quietest 16 in history But Flory was the show this afternoon no question. Always a good time in AFH
