@Crimsonorblue22 Seems like with the NCAA crap Bill is turning into Tom Izzo in recruiting. It is a ways off from the 22 class so who knows where his rank shakes out. We all thought Frankamp would be much better meanwhile Braun has well exceeded expectations. Ochai probably somewhere in the middle at this point but his defense is very good.

Well Zion was here for his visit and was in attendance for the game with Texas, showed a picture of him watching the game. - - - Said KU has made him a top priority. - -Taking his ACT on the 8th of Feb, sure sounds like if he passes he will be re-classifying. Talked about how Self told hi he Actually thought he was the best guard in the class - - hmmmmm.

I suspect we’ll send Norm down to Sunrise to offer at some point. Need to check in on Brown while we’re at it.

@FarmerJayhawk his jump shot is really concerning but I still hope he ends up at KU.
As for Clemence he is really smooth. Going to be a good four year player wherever he ends up.

@BeddieKU23 in yesterday’s presser. I think he’s really going to show out next year and could see him playing starter’s minutes.

Recently I went back through his film. He is going to surprise folks. I really like what he could become in time.

Noticed we aren’t going after any. Bates is a do it all guard, then wings and bigs.
Re Bates: things could progress rapidly here. Look for something soon, not necessarily a commitment maybe just a list cut at this point but soon.

Not trying to start conflict BUT that’s really weird that coming of sports sites they say that Coach Self has told him that he is they’re top priority and Saying he is probably the best guard coming in and then others like yourself saying they not even recruiting him - - hmmmm why would they say something like that if not true ? - -personally I could give a rats ass cause I think we are already set , just simply passing along information I have seen elsewhere

We’d rather have Harmon in 20, but I don’t think we’re a serious option. That’s a sandbox we’re not really throwing our model John Deere tractors in at this time.

Got a chance to look at him, his game against Hillcrest recently. Can really shoot it and stretch the floor for a 6’9 guy. A beanpole big needs a lot of work in the S&C room. Wouldn’t be a bad take but I wonder on fit.

Just looking at it on video makes me cringe. He can play though and is an excellent athlete and has a good feel for the game

Plays on a loaded team at Sunrise. Brown doesn’t force shots up and its not a broken jumper he can make them just not an Isiah Moss looking shot. His athletic ability though is elite and he will impact the game on both ends

Bill Self lab player like Garrett. My buddy also says he needs and would thrive under Bill.

Bingo, that sunrise team running offense that prepares you for college so his learning curve is going to be shorter plus the fact he is a fantastic athlete and plays within a team well. I see him fitting like a glove, of course contingent on him committing.
I’m also coming around to Clemence as a take. He has improved a lot from mixtape season. That Hillcrest beat down showed he was going to be good in time in College

Staff was out today. Self checked in on Kennedy Chandler and went to see Bryce. Other members of the coaching staff were up in Nebraska watching Sallis and Williams.
