Biggio, Bichette, and Guerrero in Canada? They should trade for Mondesi too! Any other descendants of big leaguers out there?
-
@dylans Dante Bichette won me… almost single handily…$3,000 one year. I’m playing his son in my FanDuel lineup tonight.
-
They have Mark Leiter Jr. in the Jay’s organization too.
Others:
- Fernando Tatis Jr.
- Lance McCuller’s Jr.
- Cody Bellinger
-
@Kcmatt7 Cody Bellinger broke the Dodgers record for most home runs in a players first four seasons with the club at 97. He’s in his third year.
-
Apparently there are a ton of baseball legacies out there currently. All I can remember from the 90s was Ken Griffey Jr. But that’s probably because he was so darn good. (Personal favorite back then)
-
The longest MLB legacy I can remember is the Boone family.
The grandpa, Ray Boone, played for a bunch of teams in the 1950s (most notably Cleveland & Detroit, plus a half-season stop with the Kansas City A’s along the way). Supposedly he was a descendant of Daniel Boone.
His son Bob Boone was a catcher in the 70s and 80s. He finished his playing career with the Royals before later becoming a manager for KC and Cincinnati.
Grandsons Bret and Aaron both played in the 1900s and 2000s. Aaron, of course, is now managing the Yankees. All four of the Boones made it to the All Star Game.
Nor sure if there are any other Boone prospects in the next generation.

@nwhawkfan I hear the Yankees are “F’n SAVAGES in that BOX!!!” To quote Aaron. https://foxsportsradio.iheart.com/content/2019-07-18-aaron-boone-screams-at-umpire-our-guys-are-fking-savages-in-the-box/ as @jayballer73 knows.
