@HighEliteMajor Probation could actually be a selling feature for a typical OAD. 10 years ago, they would’ve said " You don’t want to go to “XYZ” because they might be placed on probation and you might not make the NCAA tournament". Now they say " hey, go to XYZ… hopefully they’ll get placed on probation, and you won’t have to bother with the NCAA tournament. That way you can keep yourself fresh." Would Quentin have been broken up if we hadn’t made the tournament last year … or would he have used that time to select his agent? ( I’m picking on Quentin here- there are several other OADS I could’ve used).
A great example is Malik Newman’s near historic tournament run two years ago. He averaged 32 points per game in a 5 game run, and didn’t get a whiff of interest from the NBA during the draft.

I love d dot and want him back, selfishly, but that’s me. He can’t hit shots, just layups. Maybe that’s enough to keep him. Bilas thinks he needs to stay. It’s a pretty crappy draft though, who knows, he ran the team well today! Poised. I’m sick of this! Grimes is a good kid, I don’t fault him. I just don’t understand him. Royals suck!

So why didn’t Tucker qualify? He’d still be a nice fallback option.

I think the issue is he didn’t qualify to transfer and use the grad-transfer route which would have allowed him to go to Memphis. If that’s the case I think KU’s out as well.

Please don’t go to Memphis, RJ. I feel like it helps that they only have 1 spot open and RJ and Jalen might go to the same place.
