that was the worst series coming out of a time out that I have ever seen from a Bill Self team. Period

He said he was embarrassed earlier in the game. I’m never embarrassed being a fan of a team that has won 14 titles in a row, has been a #1 seed every season seemingly for half a decade, has defeated this years #1 team, has a HOF coach, etc. etc. and it takes a major injury, a trusted senior flaking out on us, the NCAA screwing us out of one of our best players to make us lose our streak. Not embarrassing. Bad luck? Maybe. But no one is to blame here. And oh, one other non embarrassing thing. This team will play in its 30th NCAA tournament in a row, and barring an upset, will win it’s 28th out of 30 first round games during that streak. Of course, it won’t be embarrassing either when once again 16,300 fans show up Saturday and give them a rousing ovation for the great accomplishment of all these years.

@wissox I guess this has been the most “embarrassing” season for KU fans in 15 years. Stay classy. Don’t storm the court when we beat KSU and TTech at home next year.

I’m definitely embarrassed by this performance. Why wouldn’t you be? It’s ridiculous. It’s one thing to have sub standard talent. It’s quite another to lack effort. And another yet for it to plainly obvious this team has zero fundamentals whatsoever. Wtf do we work on in practice? Our suntan? When you don’t have superior talent you focus on controllable things… Fundamentals, defense, rebounding. And actually playing hard. It’s beyond embarrassing that this team has failed to develop one of those items on a consistent basis. Completely thottled by a goddamn bubble team.

Correct. This team has zero identity. It doesn’t do anything great. It has nothing to use as it’s crutch.

It seemed like the team had something to play for. Sure, OU got off to a hot start, but this team seems to have no resiliency. In their defense, it is a young team.
As good as D Lawson is, he doesn’t seem to be the leader that is needed to take a team on his shoulders the way others have.
