2019 Professional Update
-
@Woodrow Trob was born about 10 years too late to be a NBA star but its nice to see him still playing. He will always be one of my favorites.
-
@bmensch1 Jamari?
-
@bmensch1 Langford, still pouring them in!

11 points in only 20 minutes! Looks like reduced minutes a good thing for him too. Much more efficient this season than last.
-
@Kcmatt7 You’re a dedicated fan to go look up his mpg stats. Love me some Keith Freeze!
-
@dylans well it’s much easier now that basketball reference has started keeping up with euro ball. It used to be you had to go to some site that needed to be google translated lol.
-
@bmensch1 Thanks for compiling. Great to see. KU is truly a pro player factory. Any talented recruit would be wise to study this list. Kinda surprised to still see Julian on this list.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 finding Traylor’s stats are hard without paying for them since he plays in Japan. I will say he had a great opening night
Big man Jamari Traylor, a University of Kansas product, paced Hiroshima with 29 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, while fellow newcomer Eric Thompson added 13 points and eight boards. Hiryu Okamoto scored 12 points and Kenji Yamada and Tomomasa Ozawa each had six points.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 actually…after some looking I did find his stats
-
-
Just saw this list. Thanks for compiling! Good stuff.
-
Jamari is kicking butt with the Hiroshima dragonflies… think he leads team (or 2nd ) in scoring and rebounds… looks like he has found a good niche for his skill set as taught to him by self and the staff at KU. Plus hopefully banking enough $$ to live comfortably for some time to come. (Granted, Japanese league teams can only have 3 non native players on a team, and only 2 on the floor at the same time. ) link text

BMac got waived from the Kings. May be the end of the line for him in the league.
-
@Bosthawk I went to the Jamari pages. He is doing well. Translated them into English by Chrome. Here are a couple screenshots–some interesting translations, including his name!
I like “average number of steel” the best!
-
1 out of 6 from three for Jamari, I assume. I hope he’s not a volume scorer from beyond the arc! Japan would be an fun place to spend some time.
Frankcamp is lighting it up in Bulgaria.
-
@DanR I like JT’s 3+ assist rate. Reminds me how good he was at feeding in the high/low.
-
Just watched Embiid spank Lebron and the Lakers. Had 37 points and 14 rebounds, the Lakers dont even look like a playoff team right now.
-
@kjayhawks Did you see the coast to coast dunk where no one was within 10 feet of him the entire way down the court? I don’t watch too much NBA, but I was shocked at how soft the defense was in that game.
-
@wissox Yes I saw that, that’s why when people talk about crazy scoring numbers I scratch my head. The NBA has had no defense for the last 20 years. If Wilt played today he may put up 120 points lol
-
Cars from the 50s could probably win the Daytona 500. And Babe Ruth would have hit 10,000 HRs. Ricardo Zamora would have never given up a goal to today’s sorry flopping soccer players. Bart Starr would have never lost a game. Satchel Paige would have never given up a hit. 88 year old Gordie Howe (RIP) would have dominated today’s helmet wearing wussy NHL players. Hurricane Hank would’ve literally killed Mayweather with one single punch. Tiger Woods wouldn’t have won a single PGA event had he had to go up against Jackie, Arny and Gary.
Things just ain’t as good as they used to be…
-
Cheick it out, Diallo had 16 points and 18 boards tonight.
-
@wissox just needed time! I like him. He always reps KU too.
-
@wissox was trying to find Ben Mac, thought he signed a 10 day w/Toronto, not there though. I want him to find something good! Hard times lately for him.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I look through the stats every once in a while. I used to check religiously, but it got a little depressing to see DNP’s or 2 minutes PT for so many of our guys. Glad that Oubre is doing well, even starting now, but on a really crappy Suns team. We just don’t produce that many good pro players.

Time to go to China
-
@wissox I think you could build a solid pro team with our guys. Embiid is pretty much becoming our super star to replace Paul. If you think of the biggest stars right now they ain’t from Dook or UK, Harden from ASU, Bron was not in college, Curry was Davidson and Durant is pretty much Texas’s only star in my life time.
-
UK has some great players in the NBA. Wall, Davis, Towns, Murray, Randle, Kanter, Booker, etc. In fact, they have 14 players averaging double figures. I’d rather not compare our pros to theirs because it aint close. We have 6 in double figures.
-
@wissox ok, don’t then! We aren’t to shabby for not being a one & done factory. Josh and diallo are getting better.
-
@wissox your list is a little long IMO. Towns and Davis are great players, the rest are average NBA players IMO.
-
@kjayhawks Well I don’t want to start defending Kentucky, but there’s more than two great players in that list!
-
@wissox haha that’s fair
-
Boogey when healthy is a load.
