Well tonight’s the best chance for K-St to lose. Short turnaround on the road against TCU who just plain sucked pond water against Tech on Saturday at home. If that’s not a motivator on their SR night (Robinson, Miller) nothing else will be.
All hail the horned frogs tonight! That’s if their performance Saturday was to set up for this one tonight

At least we can say if we lose this league title that it took losing 2/3 starters to unseat us. There is no way we are scoreboard watching right now had Doke, Desousa and Vick were playing.

@wissox Right, at this point if you can’t beat this team thats as much pieced together as any I can remember at Kansas, when will you? There is a good chance we return everyone that’s playing good minutes outside Dedric. We are setup pretty good for the next 2 or 3 seasons depending on whom stays and goes. If we can tie for the title this season, the streak realistically could reach 17 or 18 IMO. Obviously that’s without any sanctions and with the way that looks 15 straight maybe be a short celebration if it even happens.

I’m starting to feel more and more that Grimes WILL come back for his Soph Season - -and my gut saying too Doke might very well come back also

KSU is 1.5 point favorites while Tech is 7.5 favorites tonight.

No shame in finishing 2nd to a team that cleaned our clocks two weeks ago. But I’d rather not finish 2nd to kstate. Kind of interesting that bracketology has us as a 3 and 1st place kst as a six.

KU has huge non-con wins. They were with Doke but they still count. KU w/o Doke all year probably loses to Tenn and MSU at a minimum.

I can see TCU letting Tech win in order to stop KU’s streak, but this is a battle for the B12 purple pride.
On the other hand, Dean Wade is so shot up with pain killers and cortisone he’s playing like superman, although he’ll be lucky to be alive by B12 tournament time.

While driving home tonight from Northern Wisconsin, about a 7 hour drive I was on my phone quite a bit reading. (my daughter was driving at the time) Here’s another streak we’re on. We have a streak going back to 2009 of being ranked in every poll. This is the 3rd longest streak in history, UCLA has the longest but we have the longest active streak. We’ll have to stay ranked for 22 more polls to break their record. Not sure how many polls make up a season, but I’d guess we’d have to make it to the end of next season if there’s 5 months in a season, 4 polls per month, plus a few more this week. Another pretty cool record to aim at.

TCU probably just blew what little shot they had, missed a ft, then KSU missed and got the rebound on a jump ball. I’ve only watched a couple minutes but KSU is playing 10x harder that TCU maybe Dixon hates KU. I just can’t believe a team fighting for a tournament berth would have so little give a crap.

I’m worried that last night’s results will leave the team with less urgency to win tonight. OU has its Sr night and they have a lot of them so those guys will be amped up. It’s a big game for them, a KU win all but keeps them in the tourney even with a losing conference record. I hope the guys come out with the same fire they did on Saturday. If they do we can really start to be optimistic about ending this season on a high note.

I think Bill knows how important it still is to win every game in front of us and has them ready to go. Slipping to a 5 seed would be a minor disaster.

Homer prediction: KU wins at OU tonight and Saturday versus Baylor. KSU loses at home to OU and Tech gets bombed in Ames.

The streak is ours until the NCAA strips us of that from last year due to Silvio playing and we go back to 13 straight which ties UCLA and Gonzaga if I’m not mistaken. I believe the NCAA would love nothing more than to make this happen.
