I feel pretty confident Ochai will start. Remember he even started over Garrett last year when we went back to 2 bigs. Wilson and Ochai can’t play together unless Ochai really inprmoves his handle. I honestly think Wilson sees more minutes at the 4 than the 3.

Not over Silvio. I don’t think Wilson starts. Another utility guy who can play 3 and stretch 4.

Don’t think that’s an issue here. Guessing the pitch was more “you can come in, compete and likely get minutes”. Wilson, no offense, isn’t in the perceived must start range to need a promise.
Like everyone else I think Ochai starts. Ochai is a Bill Self type player.

Well saw we just got bumped again we are now at 61% in the CB for Jalen - -up from 56 % earlier today - another pick -really rolling now

Ochai is a much more athletic player than Jalen with +1 year of experience. The only way Jalen starts is if he shoots the lights out and Ochai can’t hit his shot. It’s possible, but i don’t think we will see it.

On rivals Corey Evans picked KU yesterday. If he’s on his streak still that means it’s anything but KU.
And Russ wood picked KU today also.
Any word on what Slater is picking?

True that Brannen really was a great shooter. Idk about way worse though. The lack of lateral quickness was the main point of comparison for me.

Honestly don’t know. I like Bilau just because he fills a position of need moving forward but Wür has a really high ceiling too.

@FarmerJayhawk I think either one would tbh. Getting a post player in the program to take a developmental year would be a great use of the last scholarship. If it works out that’s less work you have to do in 2020, if not you just move on. Low risk, high reward. Whereas if the last scholarship stays open then we are looking at needing at least one starting level big.

The staff is in contact with both. I’d guess Bilau visits first, but neither has been offered. Neither will until the staff sees them. Self wants Bilau to visit KU last, so they’ll figure out a date once Bilau is done taking visits to states not named Kansas. I don’t know anything about a potential visit from Wür. He wasn’t even cleared for NCAA competition until this week.
