Blue vs White

Lost in the shuffle of a couple glorious KU home victories was a curious wardrobe issue from the WV game.
Can anyone recall a time where we wore blue in AFH? Did the WV trainers spill Appalachian Mountain sauce on their away unis?
Did anyone else take umbrage to us wearing our away colors at home? It sort of bugged me, but the outcome made it tolerable I suppose. Thoughts or theories?

It was strange indeed, they did them as replicas of the 2008 championship teams jerseys which were blue. The only other instance I can recall was last season we wore the salute to service blues for a second time after using them to play Indiana.

At one time the home team always wore the lighter home color and the visitor the darker uniforms but that is no longer the case. I have seen lots of teams switch to black unis, a trend that started as a result of teams copying the Oakland Raiders outlaw/thug theme which now lots of teams wear, even when black is not even remotely related to their traditional colors…tradition does not seem to matter any more and trendy colors win. Even the KU football team wore black uniforms not that long ago…how black relates to Crimson and Blue escapes me.

Definitely saw the 08 throwback. But also wondered if it was because we seem to play better in blue… Although. Big Monday this week would seem to dispute that

KU wore 2008 throwbacks and since KU wore blue in that 2008 title game, that’s why they wore blue on Saturday.
Also, home teams are allowed to choose which color uniform they wear.
