Who tanks?

So, who’s going to throw a game or two to make sure KU doesn’t get #14?
-
It’s in our hands at this point, I guess WV, OSU and TCU could just let Tech win but we are in control of what happens to ourselves. One game at time Saturday will be the biggest and toughest battle of the season. Tech is loaded with upperclassmen and plays some of the best defense in the land. I can’t wait, is it Saturday yet!???

l don’t think OSU or TCU is in any position to throw a game and be guaranteed of getting to the big Dance. WVU is safely in but can’t see them purposely losing at home. Knocking KU off the streak is on all the teams minds but l doubt they lose any sleep if it doesn’t affect their tourney expectations.

Pretty sure he’s kidding
-
the Royals?
-
@Blown having a hard time w/this
-
@Crimsonorblue22 what’s that ? seeing all the guys move on?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Normally, you would be correct (you know me well) - but i was actually concerned about that this year.
-
@Blown yep, guess you didn’t know that Hoz was my bf. I also have a Cain t-shirt.
-
Don’t be concerned.
While all the other teams in our league would like to see us lose the conference… none want to do it by handing it over to TTech. They’d all like to do it while making themselves conference champs.
Heck… maybe I am thinking this wrong. Maybe the other teams who know they won’t be winning the championship PREFER Kansas to win it!
Think about it… our entire league gets a ton of publicity from this Kansas streak.
What does it do to their recruiting results? I don’t know… we recruited Trae Young heavily and he still chose OU.
I’m pretty sure the upcoming NBA draft will not feature a Jayhawk first representing the Big 12. Hmmmm… Young… Bamba… maybe Konate?

We win on Saturday, it doesn’t matter.

I second that thought.

@drgnslayr Young and Bamba are lottery picks, Svi and Graham are 2nd rounders. Landry Shamet is going to be the highest drafted player from the state of Kansas this year.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 he’s been tanking too.
-
How they perform in March will determine who goes earlier between Devonte and Shamet.

No it won’t, Shamet will be a late 1st rounder and Graham is going to be a mid to late 2nd rounder.
-
Do we know Shamet is going pro?
-
@JayHawkFanToo absolutely no way Shamet goes pro after this season. DG should easily go ahead of him, averages more points, rebounds, steals and assists all while playing better competition (shooting percentages are nearly even), having a better assist to TO ratio. Shamet is a solid player. Ig add @Texas-Hawk-10 in that boat too lol. Ik some of the mock drafts have him late first round but I highly doubt it.

What happened to WVU against KU means every team in the conference is just one 2 FTAs home job away from a loss, regardless of how they play.
2 FTAs in 40 minutes and you lose even shooting 50 % from trey!
Self said the conference winner would have five losses.
He sounded pretty confident.
If I were a betting alias, I would think 5 Losses were locked in.
-
Who tanks? I guess that will be TTech! lol
-
I think Self has it right. 5 losses. And if it is us, it could be we lose one more at OSU, after we already have the Big 12 locked up.
I hope not. I hope Self is wrong and the winner only has 4 losses!
-
Me too!
This will be the greatest coaching and playing job in the face of adversity in the Self Era, if KU wins it.

How do you figure? If the refs are giving KU games as you contend it doesn’t take much coaching to beat 3 stars with your 4&5 star athletes.
I believe KU won fair and square (watched wvu 3 times)so I can make that proclamation. Which is it good coaching or poor reffing?
