@jayballer54 Might be done but I’m sure KU still pursues both Langford and Zion. The team next year (assuming Grimes is locked in) looks great but could really use one of Sr. Vick, Langford, or Zion for that 3 spot. Anything else after that is just gravy.

Also Newman, if you want to count transfers. Grimes should sign early next week. May just be a logistical thing with ESPN. KU will definitely pursue Langford and Zion until they’re eliminated or the recruits commit somewhere else. We’ve come this far and don’t really have a numbers issue, so might as well shoot for the moon. KU won’t get both though. I actually prefer Langford if Udoka comes back. Just better fit because I think Zion is way more a 4 than 3.

KU already has a very good class even if no one else is signed, everyone else at this time is icing on the cake. If Grimes waits it might actually open the door for Langford and/or Williamson.

There’s still no clarity on whether Quentin Grimes, the 6-foot-5-inch combo guard from The Woodlands College Park, will sign during the early period. If he does, Kansas is expected to be the pick, although the Longhorns have made up some ground of late according to our sources.
While Kansas appears to be out in front, sources on the Texas side of things continue to tell Horns247 that the Longhorns aren’t as far behind in the race for Grimes as some might think. Again, even though the Jayhawks are the favorite, the Longhorns and Jai Lucas have done enough to see it through to the end with Grimes.
“I think he ends up at Kansas,” an industry source told me. “But if he ends up at Texas I won’t be shocked. I’ll be surprised though.”

What’s surprising is that Shaka is in the final 2. That really just blows my mind having paid attention to this recruitment.
They are already over the scholarship limit to begin with even with Jones & Bamba not returning next season. Someone else is already being pushed out just to make room for Hepa.
Hopefully he gets it done by Wednesday

Kentucky and Marquette are his other finalists but, most likely Grimes is going to end up picking between the Jayhawks and Longhorns. No actual date to commit has been set, but it would be a surprise if he makes it out of the early signing period and if we had to place a bet on where he ends up, we still believe Kansas is in a good spot.

Cal was smart enough to move on when he realized where Grimes is headed. Marquette coaches too.
Like you said Texas is recruiting with house money here. I would assume currently they are forcing out a forward.
