Exactly where in the hell did sanity go in B-ball ?

I’m sure the NCAA would like to more heavily regulate this stuff but as federal courts have repeatedly ruled, a lot of their regulatory measures violated the Sherman Act

Here’s calipari on this subject

@BeddieKU23 ya and now we also have another at BYU can't remember his name the whole thing is just so screwed up
-
Crazy, played last year in the G-League.

I can’t believe the NCAA can’t set any rules or the schools can’t make them sign contacts of some sort. @marshhawk I hate to say it but I 100% agree with Cal on this. It’s gonna be more detrimental to these athletes in the long run. Look at a AJ Storr type goes to 4 or 5 different schools and gets a bag of cash at each. He’s living the life right now but he probably doesn’t get a degree, isn’t good enough to play in the NBA, he likely blows thru this money and ends up broke with no future. Thats not a positive outlook for anyone involved.

Until the NCAA comes up with Collective Bargaining this stuff will be possible
-
@BeddieKU23 I truly think like what's been talked about I think you will see the Colleges are going to break away from the NCAA and form a totally different governing body as it seems the NCAA has become useless

Can't believe this myself but ran across a podcast with Coach Cal from Arkansas. With this whole idea now of NBA players now being allowed to come back and play College ball.
He points out if the NCAA allows for this to Continue he gave an example -who the hell is going to recruit High School kids.-- He says who in their right mind would recruit high school kids when you can recruit NBA players-- -G league players ?
He says if you are from Europe how do we actually know how legit their proof of age is. Saying bottom line is w made these rules you have five years to play four -But if you are drafted by the NBA you don't come back, A really good points he was brining outt. Saying Him and Mark Few and quite a few others are not happy with this at all
-
The NCAA did say yesterday they will not give eligibility to any players who've signed an NBA contract.
They did say that you can recruit G-League players without NBA deals or other professional leagues so maybe there's a few decent players that fit this criteria that still have some eligibility left. It may feel weird that G-League players can come back to college but that's no different than letting Euro players who've played professionally for years come here and play.
Crazy, Crazy times.

The huge point Cal made yesterday he said what idiot other then himself would recruit a high school kid when you can sign some 28 yr old- - a G league player --some Euro -he said there won't be any 18 yr olds. He said how old do we know they actually are who o w have anybody over there to verify have we verified transcripts ?
