Why aren't we talking about Josh Jackson
-
Last night, Josh Jackson did this
Why are we not discussing this?
UAB may have helped awaken the beast in Josh Jackson. Now that he has been unleashed, look out.
-
That dunk was punishing. It was like he was mad at the rim
-
He made like what, at least 3 SC top 10 plays? Maybe 4? Kid is a stud.
-
Josh dunked that last night like the entire state of Alabama talked bad about his mother.
-
So…I thought the rule was when there is any contact to the head it is reviewed and a technical could be assessed, did I miss something? Because from what i saw, JJ took a swift punch to the face

@justanotherfan He’s a big time player. He is the OAD that will set the bar for every future OAD from here on out. He is just amazing.

He has that MKG/Justise doggggg in him. Kid does not like to lose.

Kid’s pretty cool, other than for some ultra-emotional displays last week. Fairly well bides his time, offense-wise in first three games. Contest #4 rolls around, and KA-BOOM! Enough highlights to light up his Sports Center resume’ for the entire month of November! It did appear that he came close to a brutal clotheslining on that one super dunk; but he shook off the blow, kept his composure, and played right on. I look for him to lock down a spectacular league season. He has to be cautious to avoid a Ridley-type assault which might crimp his physical well-being.

@justanotherfan that was nasty man
-
@BeddieKU23 I love Josh’s intensity and zeal.
-
@BShark Great comparison. I remember before the season started we were talking about how Josh needs to play like Winslow and Kidd-Gilchrist. Both of those guys had that competitive attitude and flair and I think Josh has that too.
-
@REHawk we thought if they looked at that foul a flagrant could have been called. No ball all Josh’s head.

You can always tell when an OAD perimeter player has not yet played up to expectations. Posting focuses on specific athletic plays, like nasty dunks, rather than total points, total rebounds, trey percentage and scoring efficiency.
But not to worry. Josh is coming along and if Self can keep giving him 15 FGAs per game for awhile, he will get untracked for a big game. The UAB game got him a highlight dunk, which is required for OAD branding, but not the kind of numbers needed for marketing buzz. So: Self will likely get him another branding game ASAP, so that Self can get back to developing the inside game we will need for balance in conference and post season.
If Josh actually lacks a Trey, it could take 20 FGAs for a branding game.
Either way, it will come.
