My 14 year old had a minor hamstring tear and is an elite soccer player for his age, and it took about 6-8 weeks to fully heal.
You just can't explode with a hamstring injury.
I would encourage every to temper their expectations of what DP can bring not only in terms of a minute restriction but his explosivity when he returns.
I’m just tired of hearing he’s the best player in the Self era, he has a lot to prove to get into that category. Numerous B12 players of the year, lottery picks and championships. He has looked good but I’m could name prob 15 players in a drunken stupor I’d rather have on this team from the Self era right now. In terms of his explosiveness I’m hoping that’s why they are waiting for him to be a 100% but he will likely need to get back into game shape and that could take a good few weeks.

@approxinfinity Yeah I'd imagine most of us doubted Jamari would actually get serious time and he's drilled threes and not been egregiously bad. Just shouldn't have had the ball at the end it is what it is
-
@Jayhawk_69 defense was good tonight just let up
too many offensive rebounds think they had 12 second chance points in the second half. -
Ultimately if DNP comes back soon and plays well I won't look back at this stretch and think "Damn! If only Peterson had played more in November." But each game he misses makes it seem more and more likely that he is shutting it down for the season.

Man you’re reading way too much into it.

Tre White...three shot attempts. Total no show
-
@focojayhawk well, they didnt count the shooting fouls as shot attempts. He did take what 6 FT?
Do agree, we got much more from him offensively the last 2 games.
-
5 TOs was really rough from Tre. He has to be more consistent
-
Final box score:

-
They outrebounded us 25-10 in the second half. Lol. and that was 4 rebounds for Flory and 3 for Tre and even that was mostly in like a 5 minute stretch. We got 3 rebounds from the rest of the team the second half.
Ouch.
-
Dawson had 4 turnovers and 2 fouls in 8 minutes. Thats rough. Might have been a game for G?
-
-
Woo, doggy, that there is what you call an epic collapse.
Lemme ponder the box score. Some ugliness in there for sure.
God almighty if Council weren’t such a bricklayer, we’d have a chance most games. -
UConn really took Tre White out of the game and that seemed to be a good decision. He was double-teamed if he got the ball. Hurley had some real respect for him.
-
Not so fun with the box score!
FGs
Tre White — a shocking 1-3
Melvin Council — a not so shocking 4-13
Elmarko Jackson — a pleasing 4-9
Box score invisibility
Bryson Tiller — did he even play?
Jayden Dawson — I thought in the summer he was an obvious starter. Maybe now losing playing time. He seems brain dead.
FTs
KU — 15-21
UConn — 6-8
That’s a winning formula. What the heck happened??

Not proud but a memory forever. When my mother heard of the story, she asked "Where was your self discipline?" I answered, "When I didn't punch him!" (Glad I didn't.) -
Big issue with most of the players is that they are streaky shooters.. You can see guys get hot and reel off a string of points and then cool off and it then takes a couple of empty possessions before they realize they aren't hot anymore -- The streakers: Council, Jamari, Elmarko, Tiller, Dawson, Kohl. The less streaky are Tre and Flory.
Streaky players can do as much damage as they do good if you don't have good offensive rebounding or some good half court go-to sets for when they cool off.
