Hypothetical re: Bean

If we come out and steamroll Okie Lite tomorrow with Bean having a Bean type game (he did lead the league in passer rating last year), would you just shut JD down and redshirt him? The last 5 games aren’t exactly murder’s row and even going 3-2 gets you to 9 wins and a shot at the title game.

I still need to see KU consistently win road games against the middle and bottom tier teams in the Big 12 Before I’d even think abiut that.

I think you sit him if he isn’t ready to go after the bye week which is next weekend. Also it’s huge as to what JD wants to do. He’s been here a long time and many want to test the professional waters at some point. Honestly think if he could get one healthy season, he’d show what he can do and get picked.

Kind of would like to have Daniels for OU in Lawrence but if it doesn’t seem like he’ll be able to go for that game then I’m open to redshirting him. We would also have to hope that Bean doesn’t get hurt for the rest of the season.

Jason had a really good game last year against Oklahoma St. Hopes he can repeat , not sure how I would feel about JD red shirting .Isn’t he just a JR ?

I got a serious question- - -dead serious. - -WHY are some people so dam hell bent on the idea that Jalen is transferring ? I’ve seen nothing on that or even thought about why he would.
Can’t be because of playing status - -being the starting QB. - - His is leading his current team back to respectability , no laughing stock. seems like a very level headed kid , one that’s not going to make any snap irrational decisions. - -I just don’t see any meat to that- - just doesn’t make sense
As I side note just saw he is going to be going through pre-game warm ups with the team today. - -NO he is not going to play , but like post said shows big strides to improvement. - Hoping he is ready for the OU game. -I just don’t see JD transferring out ------where the hell they getting this from ?

I’m confident in our offense and our running game. Little worried about our depth on defense. Robinson and Booker are both banged up. We need the bye week to get healthy.
