Happy 4th of July (extended)

My vacation has started so apologies for the early sentiment. Loving these dog days of summer. Have been watching some CWS, guys and girls (sucks for NC State!) , a bit of NBA playoffs (go Suns!), a little MLB (boo Girardi and harassing Scherzer for foreign substances mid inning!), a healthy dose of UEFA (Austria controlled that Italy game until OT. Damn shame they didnt pull ot out. Go Denmark!), and a sprinkling of Olympic Trials (holy smokes Gabby Thomas looked fast!). Realizing this year how much of an essential part of my meaning of life a rich backdrop of sports is.
And i cant wait to see the Olympics, as a sign that the world is back baby!

If you guys are wondering what good soccer looks like and have espn+, check out all of the UEFA round of 16 games, but especially France’s and Spain’s. Just outstanding sport. All on espn+ On Demand
Italy Austria was outstanding too. All of them though.

Pulisic upset animal rights activists by juggling a soccer ball off the side of a boat over an endangered mammoth grouper his friend had hooked and then falling off the boat on top of it. Not the most thoughtful move from Americas best soccer player.
