Ku looks to be caught. Why aren’t they dropping the dirt on everyone else
-
We know every program essentially is doing this stuff. I don’t get how no one caught in this adidas thing isn’t dropping info on others… most big name coaches not connected have been widely quite about calling out the other coaches directly. Like why haven’t big name coaches directly called out self, when we play their teams? Bc they all do it too. We know duke and UK do it. If ku gets slammed, why wouldn’t they drop the info on Nike guys. Just strange!

A lot of questions. Why didn’t they bring it up in the 2 cases?

Bingo! It wasn’t in evidence and the only reason anyone knows anything about it is because one judge cited pieces of it in a dissenting opinion on one charge. If it was really exculpatory (like if it proved KU was not a victim of the fraud but actually participated in the scheme) why didn’t the defense try to run with it? Something doesn’t add up here. The NCAA absolutely won’t get access to the full tape either. It even goes against the NCAA’s own guidance on the types of things they’d consider. This isn’t even evidence since it wasn’t admitted at trial.

Dana Neil hates KU! So do those other yahoo’s! Pardon the pun.
-
Really poor reporting… there’s a reason other outlets didn’t run with it

I believe this is the Kurtis conversation that we all read about that was offered at trial and not admitted.
Please note this idiot judge mischaracterized the conversation, using paraphrasing instead of a direct quote. The conversation was about Zion, who did not go to KU, and therefore the assistant coach could not have known about actual payments. Neither was there any evidence offered indicating KT did anything following up.

We don’t like her too, two way street

Why and how would KU officials have specific details about what other programs are doing to be able to prove anything in court?

@Texas-Hawk-10 Come on man. You seriously don’t think they all know who the nike and under armor guys are? Kentucky, world wide Wiess? They all talk they know whose who. They sit at all of these AAU things together. Still have yet to hear coaches specifically call Self out from big blue blood programs lol

@jayhawks2010 There’s a big difference between knowing stuff happens and being able to prove something is happening. Hell, the NCAA hasn’t been able to prove shit against most programs until the FBI got involved. Bill Self can’t just go and subpoena phone and text records of Duke and UK assistant coaches. Coaches may talk at AAU events, but they aren’t talking about payments to players while sitting in the bleachers because they aren’t stupid enough to do something like that. Those conversations happen in the privacy in hotel rooms where there’s no witnesses to be able to prove anything happened.
