How do you discipline a disobedient cat?

Looking for answers outside of variants on “torture” or “kill”. Have a very smart and nice kitten who we call TP for Trash Panda. Shes a dumpster diver and a counter coaster.

Pretty much this.
@Crimsonorblue22 I had to get rid of the last dog I had. Ignored her in favor of the cats and found out I’m really just not a dog person. It was the right thing to do I think, found her a good home.

@mayjay we tried the squirt guns. It taught her to get down when she heard the footsteps. Nothing more.
