Prediction Time

Kansas plays host to the Cowgirls of OSU Saturday at 11 am on FS1. Okie state is probably a mid pack B12 team they have looked solid at times and troubling at times and have played very inconsistent. They maybe play to our strengths a little bit on paper, they have struggled in getting their running game going what so ever just averaging 130 rush yards per game. It will be interesting to see how much they try to run it looking at our struggle to stop it. They can pass well but that’s our strength defensively and pass rush. Its unknown who will play at the QB for us idk that it matters at this point between how bad all 3 have played and our o line. I think we have a good shot to compete, as we have the last few times they came to Lawrence, in 2014 they needed a late Kick off for a TD bye current Chiefs returner Hill for a TD to escape 27-20. I also think the early kick favors the home team and this is the 3rd time we have played early this year. I’m thinking we keep it close for 2 and a half quarters before our defense runs out of seem. I’ll take OSU 38 Kansas 16. Still one of the games I think we can steal if the cards fall right. For us to win we must win the turnover battle and get 8 or more TFLs. RCJH

@kjayhawks 48-6 They have 16 field goals and we have 3 safeties.
-
@nuleafjhawk whatever you say every week!
-
I’m going to go ahead and say that Baylor really exposed out offensive line as far as what type of pressure to bring. Willis throws 4 picks and fumbles twice before Stanley or Cozart come in and we lose 45-3.
-
@Kcmatt7 ugh! So painful!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I just lost a lot of confidence in us after last week… We folded. We have no leaders on the offensive side of the field. The only way we will win another game is if Willis, Sims or Quiv take on a leadership role.
I’m over this season already. But I am ready and excited for next season. Beaty will finally have players that are for his system. I have no doubt that next years starter is Starks. After watching more HS tape on him, he is going to be the best fit for this team next year. Kid can throw the ball with some touch. Something the film on Stanley and Willis shows they don’t have.
The biggest thing to finish off this season is to get a friggen win and get some confidence. Luckily our most winnable conference games are our last 4 games IMO. We can beat any one of those teams. Our only problem will be our lack of depth… Hard to win games late in a season when you don’t have depth behind any starters. If I’m picking the one game for us to win, its the UT game. Their D is awful. Their O is stoppable. I’m calling a UT upset and a Charlie Strong firing the same day. Going to be great.

Given the choice I would rather lose to the Cowboys than the Cowgirls. Why poke the bear…or cowboy, and provide additional bulletin board material that KU really does not need?
-
@JayHawkFanToo pretty sure they are shaking in their boots!
-
@JayHawkFanToo Lol it was kinda just a joke I’m sure that the osu football team gets on here and looks for bulletin board material LMAO
-
Post hard for me tomorrow guys. I’ll be reliving college all day tomorrow at Homecoming and don’t expect to remember too much of the game. I’ll probably just come read here to see what I missed…
-
@Kcmatt7 I thought you did that last weekend!behave!
-
I predict there will be predictions!
-
I also predict many, if not most, of the predictions will be wrong.
-
Finally I predict a few predictions will be right.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 nah - last week it was like 72-10. 75-10, something that was a realistic guess. except we couldn’t score 10.
-
Montel Cozart to start to day http://www2.kusports.com/news/2016/oct/22/montell-cozart-start-qb-vs-oklahoma-state/
-
@kjayhawks Keegan actually made a comment that made a lot of sense why Cozart is starting today. Cozart hasn’t been sacked this year and hasn’t turned the ball over like Willis has and OSU does both well. Willis had a chance to win the job and didn’t do it so back to Willis.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Very true Willis didn’t take advantage of his shot, I have no trouble with this decision
-
@kjayhawks They’re just buying time until Tyriek Starks is ready, hopefully next year.
