Seriously, this pizzes me off soooo much. Why the F do these schools put up with this BS? Its about time Self stops taking the ‘high road’ and gives everyone the lo down on what has been going on. We all knew it was NCAA ineptitude and now its confirmed. We can go back to my conspiracies thread and it might start to sound a little more like a real possibility. I’m glad that Self finally decided that enough is enough and gives the public some material to work with. Pour the gas on the fire and lets get this going viral. #FreeCheick!!!

Okay, so here is my question. WE have gotten 2 separate agencies that have BOTH said that the 2 courses that the NCAA has said is not core qualifying, the agencies said they are. So who wins out? Bill was saying it takes 16 for a student to be deemed eligible, he also said Cheick has that many just at the one school. So what the f - - - is the NCAA doing, why do they have their heads up their ass? Bill said they sent a letter to the NCAA way back in Sept asking the NCAA what they were looking for or what they needed, no response, no response, no response and finally around the 5th or 6th of November THEN they answer, jumpin-gee-hoosa-fats, Bill said if they would of known they could of provided info a long time ago. He said it took us a WEEK a fricken week that it has taken the NCAA months to find, the thing is 1 of the agencies we have represent over 300 districts dealing with this kind of thing, the NCAA has come out and said Cheick has done nothing wrong, nothing fraudulent and yet here the poor kid sits. It’s all about the core classes, Bill said he realized it was the weekend but he didn’t care with which I agree 100% I mean come on man lets get this solved and like now. so question is guys how much longer do we or beter Cheick have to sit and wait? ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@Crimsonorblue22 Some people think Im a bit crazy for spewing my conspiracy theories about the NCAA not following their own rules and that they have a personal vendetta against KU and/or Cheick and his legal guardian. But the more info that comes to light on this case, the less crazy I think I seem.

I wonder if the NCAA is there counting calorie intakes of the team?
Haven’t you heard of “pastagate?”
This has been happening often for the past couple of years, and schools can get in deep poo if their players eat “too much.”
Here is an example down in Soonerland:

The NCAA is concerned that players might use the old “mama bird” tactic of eating too much, then puking it up later to feed others, in this case selling it on the streets (predigested). Gosh… the NCAA is really on the ball!

@wrwlumpy But surely Nike wields no influence in NCAA initial eligibility determinations. Just a meager soda bottling operation “partnering” with NCAA to tilt a table on a big stage…

In all fairness that is true in all sports and businesses. Sponsors pay a lot of money to have their name prominent displayed and having someone else’s product displayed does not sit well and probably involves legal liability if the organization being paid by the sponsor does not vigorously enforce the exclusive rights of the company that disbursed the sponsorship money.
Remember when Jim McMahon was fined $5,000 by the NFL for wearing a headband with the Adidas logo? He was not the first and certainly not the last one.
