I saw Tiller had leg cramps last night, went to the bench… and was back in the game later.

When Micheal Jordan scored 69 points, I knew I’d always remember it as the night me and Micheal combined for 70 points — Stacey King, Former Bulls Player

At this point we just have to hope he is ready to go in March. I’d say the previous two games are a good sign with him playing 30 plus minutes

I think he can, and wants to, play a key role the rest of the season for us. And he most likely has some legit health concerns. Maybe it’s just compared to some of the other dawgs on the team - Tiller cramping then going back in, Elmarko fight back from a season ending injuriy, or Melvin getting six stitches then just minutes later immediately back in and made an impact with an assist, a forced turnover, and a score - the optics just aren’t good by comparison.

He’s a valuable weapon, good exposure for the program, and seems like a good person. Hopefully he knocks my socks off in the weeks ahead enabling a deep tourney run. But for now, beyond a couple of admittedly great performances, he’s more an interesting (and often distracting) side story to me this season.

(But I’m still totally wearing loose fitting socks in hopes of getting some serious knocks!)

Who had DP in the doghouse going into Arizona and home with Iowa state on the road after that? Lol.

This stuff is so crazy but I still believe there’s time for it to work out. But we are running out of it. March is around the corner.

I like how the announcers said we won in spite of not having Peterson available. I prefer to think we won because of that.

FWIW the flu this year is no joke. My stepbrother has it now and totally lost taste and smell and his fever got to 103. And he’s a healthy dude.

Hope the rest of the team doesn't come down with it. Would have been interesting to ask Self what precautions are planned to make sure the virus doesn't rip through the rest of the team.

@Gorilla72 Barstool Arizona is the source? They rank up there in credibility with Brittanica, NE Journal of Medicine, and Sports Illustrated of the golden age (1960s-1990s)?

I do think “we hoped adrenaline would kick in” is as close as we will ever hear self to calling him soft. Can’t say it because he’s a superstar and we need more of em down the line. But man is he close to using the s word…

If Peterson plays-- He plays- - if not- -- - OH WELL we will roll with what we got. Nuff said

I honestly have to give Coach Self props on the way he has handled this, he likely isn’t super happy with how it’s been going but he has done great.

@kjayhawks2.0 Self is coaching two different teams at the same time. I'm not sure he could've done much more with all that's happened.

Lucky for Self Darryn is a super talented good teammate whose health issues hasnt hindered us from being the hottest team in the country over the last 8 games.

Heres a stat for you. DP is averaging .739 points per minute. The highest ppm of any Jayhawk for a complete season: Danny Manning in 88 with .705

@approxinfinity very hard to compare in limited minutes but it’s pretty obvious DP is very gifted offensively. But he has to want to be just that. Watch the Utah game or the Colorado game and he is just a body out on the floor much of those games. Then watch the BYU first half or the exhibition vs Louisville, then you’re thinking he is the next Kobe. Goes back to the old verbiage of “Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard”.

Bill on hawk talk said Darryn was sick against Utah. The least surprised I have ever been as he looked terrible that game for the most part.
