2025-26 Schedule

(Edited)Here’s what’s known about KU’s 2025-26 schedule so far. KU actually just posted the full non-conference schedule today
Oct. 24 - @Louisville (Exhibition)
Oct. 28 - Fort Hays St. (Exhibition)
Nov. 3 - Green Bay
Nov. 7 - @North Carolina
Nov. 11 - Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
Nov. 15 - Princeton
Nov. 18 - Duke (Champions Classic in New York)
Nov. 24 - Notre Dame (Players Era Tournament in Las Vegas)
Nov. 25 - Syracuse (Players Era Tournament in Las Vegas)
Nov. 26 - TBD (Players Era Tournament in Las Vegas)
Dec. 2 - UConn
Dec. 7 - Missouri (Kansas City)
Dec. 13 - @NC State
Dec. 16 - Towson
Dec. 22 - Davidson
The Big 12 will be back to 18 games this season since KU has 13 non-conference games with Big 12 play likely starting either Dec. 27 or 29.
This is a pretty loaded non-conference slate as usual without factoring in the 3 opponents in the Players Era Festival. UConn is expected is to be preseason top 5, Duke is expected to be preseason top 10, and UNC and NC State are fringe top 25 teams. Louisville is expected to be somewhere around 10th as well so we should get a good feel for this team immediately in exhibition play.
As far as the Player’s Era, potential top 25 teams that could be opponents for KU include Alabama, Auburn, Creighton, Gonzaga, Michigan, Oregon, San Diego St., St. John’s, and Tennessee. KU figures to have at least 1 game in Vegas against a top 25, potentially 2 or 3 depending KU’s draw and performance out there.
In Big 12 play, Houston, Texas Tech, BYU, Arizona, Baylor, and Iowa St. are all potential ranked games as of now as well.

Doug Gotlieb coming to AFH on 11/3 as a coach will be interesting.

The first two games of the Player’s Era Tournament for KU was announced today and I’m very disappointed with KU’s draw. With all the great teams in the field, KU is getting Notre Dame on Nov. 24 and Syracuse on Nov. 25. There’s no reason KU shouldn’t beat the breaks off of both teams and hopefully get a top level team in their third game.

5 ACC opponents this year.

This schedule was already loaded. At least tbese are 2 historically good teams

@approxinfinity And both of which have beaten us in the tourney. Revenge time, only 51 and 23 years late.

These two programs are trash now. Notre Dame has made one NCAA Tournament appearance since 2017 and Syracuse only has one tournament appearance post Covid. KU should make the championship game of this as there will probably be several 2-0 teams and margin of victory, points scored, and points allowed are the tie breakers and KU has probably the weakest schedule of any team there.
