Kansas @ OU
-
@DCHawker find a body and block out close out on driver!
-
It was their Sr. day…
-
Someone needs to check Fran’s Depennds. He might have made a mess
-
@Crimsonorblue22 So we play Thursday?
-
@Kip_McSmithers pretty happy for barely beating a team w/out starters
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Alas, blocking out has not been one of our signal strengths this year - sarcasm dripping.
-
@brooksmd at 12, winner of TCU-Texas.
-
-
@Kip_McSmithers did his kid get in?
-
-
@KansasComet He had 2 big steps, what I couldn’t quite tell was if the ball was out of his hands before his foot came back down…
-
@Bwag but is that a bigger deal than just beating us? They play their seniors?
-
@Bwag walk!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Only one of the three saw pt. Bennett
-
@Bwag I thought he took took big steps and then stutter stepped as he was releasing the ball. Looked like a travel to me.
-
@KansasComet I think I agree…
-
@Bwag I think the refs got caught up watching the game. Oh well.
-
@KansasComet You guys know our rec center refs don’t call travel on winning plays.
-
FT’s right at 80% again. And shot more than the home team.
-
@brooksmd Right you are!!
-
Anyone know if Cal’s refs are calling the Louisville game today?
-
Sad coach when you don’t play all of your seniors on senior day. Lon you’re a putz.
-
@KansasComet also looked like a tie up between the 2 steps and the stutter
-
@cragarhawk Good point. I have to agree with you. Thanks.
-
OU had 1 2-pt and 1 3-pt shot more than us. We had 3 more FT’s than them and hit them. That is the difference in the game points wise.
-
Refs aren’t going to call shiznit with less than 5 seconds left unless they picked up the ball at half court and took eleven steps. I may be exaggerating here, because they still wouldn’t!!
-
Oubre relies on his long arms to much, doesn’t move his feet-at all!
-
But in all seriousness. I’m glad our boys played with a lot of heart today. I hope the hustle can continue when we get back to full strength. Maybe by Thursday the Cliff saga will be all ironed out too
-
@Bwag I think the key was the turnaround on the glass. We dominated in the first half, they did in the 2d. We had 14 ORs in the 1st half, just 1 or 2 in the 2nd. We had a 12 RB advantage in the 1st half and just ended up with a 2 RB advantage. They didn’t hit 3s in the second half, but got second chance points. The difference - Jamari, who doesn’t rebound, played more minutes in the second half, and Hunter fewer. Maybe gave us a bit more on the offensive end, but Jamari got beat by his guy too often and he doesn’t block out. I would rather have the ability to make stops, but that’s just me.

Dissing your bf?
-
@Kip_McSmithers yes! I don’t like to lose! Ever!
-
First time in Self era we lost more road games than they won. Oubre’s boneheaded play to try to save a ball off missed shot was the momentum changer. They hit a 3 and went ahead by 2 and never trailed.
-
@DCHawker Somebody should teach Jamari how to block out. It’s a teachable skill, and would make all the difference in the world for him.
-
@tundrahok on a good note about Mari, he does some things that can’t be taught, and others lack, heart!
-
@KansasComet I agree… my wife called the travel in real-time. I guess the refs were watching for the tie-up.
-
Love the way they played to the end, I just get tired of us NOT boxing out and giving teams second chance shots. ONE player putting a body on OU and we win it at the end.
-
@JayhawkRock78 u could say the same about missing bunnies, or stepping out of bounds… Fouling, etc
-
@PakaRocks It had to be something. Refs had to be distracted.
-
@KansasComet we need to NOT be in the situation where a bad call determines the outcome! I think we have had that drilled in our heads since we were little kids.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 You get no argument here.

ISU getting beat by tcu
