Really the NCAA only has one completely logical thing it can do now and that’s ask for transcripts from his Pre-K days. It’s evident they must get their hands on the fingering paintings from the fridge. They need to know did he pick the right colors for that bear? Did he keep those colors in the lines?? How high could he count because we have standards for that too! Did he over sleep or under sleep at nap time!!! And did he put some letters backwards when doing his ABCs??

RE: How did we miss out on this guy a nine iron from the campus?
Totally agree. The UK players that walked off the court without shaking hands, the twins and WCS, are sore ass losers. I’ve never had respect for any of them and this is why. And any coach that doesnt let his kids know that won’t be accepted isn’t much better.
After the game Andrew Harrison was on sitting at the interview table with his brother, Aaron, directly to his left and forward Willie Cauley-Stein directly to his right.
A reporter directed a question about Kaminsky toward Kentucky’s Karl-Anthony Towns: ‘‘Karl could you talk about Kaminsky and what if anything is unique about defending him?’’ the reporter said. At the end of the reporters question you can hear Andrew say “Fūçque that N____”. Wow! Amazing.
But fear not! He didn’t mean it that way…
Andrew Harrison @DrewRoc5 First i want to apologize for my poor choice of words used in jest towards a player I respect and know. 2:25 AM - 5 Apr 2015
When I realized how this could be perceived I immediately called big frank to apologize and let him know I didn’t mean any disrespect 2:26 AM - 5 Apr 2015
We had a good conversation and I wished him good luck in the championship game Monday. 2:27 AM - 5 Apr 2015
Now I don’t know Andrew so maybe he does have a personality in which saying this phrase can be taken the wrong way but I see it for what was said. F that N is saying forget that guy but in a vulgar way. I’m not really sure there is a way to take jest with this way of saying it. I get that young black men use the N word in everyday life but still saying to “f” him isn’t in jest. Especially after you’d just left the court without exchanging hand shakes. Kentucky fans, players, and HC are one in the same.
And to think they’re all crying about the shot clock violation today. ESPN is restoring that but not the upper cut. Go figure.

RE: We're No. 1 in.........
I posted this in its own thread but to save space I’ll place it here.
KC Star Interesting article from Rustin Dodd at the KC Star. Playing host to 7 of the top 25 $ games this year is pretty awesome! KU has an amazing fan following. We even follow our guys in the pros. Tweet from Marcus Morris @MookMorris2 “Thanks to all the Jayhawk fans that were at the game today… Really Thankful for the support! Rock chalk and happy holidays” Marcus Morris Twitter

RE: Best case and worst case.
@HighEliteMajor - I saw where @JayHawkFanToo suggested that without Wiggins we may not have gotten Oubre or Alexander. Maybe not. Let’s say we don’t get Oubre, since he was sold in part on taking Wiggins spot. So, we don’t have Wiggins or Oubre.
Since this thread is best case, worst case and you gave best case for this year I’ll go the other direction.
So we didn’t get Wiggins and everyone turns out the same as they did last year…
Without Andrew we lose to Duke early in the year. In the BFA instead of beating Wake because of Andrew’s strong second half we lose to them. With that loss there’s no need to worry about our L to Nova because we’d be playing USC who I think we would have beat just like Wake did. In the 5th place game for the BFA we woudl have played Tenn and just like WF we post an L. We get to come back to the states and head to Boulder to pick up another L right before Florida slaughters us putting us below 500. Next up is NM who we beat with out Wiggins because of foul trouble so we get back to 500. We beat G’town and Toledo then of course SDSU kills us. Sitting at 7-6 before conference play even starts.
In league instead of the four L’s we got we double that number. Here’s how: ISU and OSU beat us at home and away. We lose the WVU there but by even more this time, we still lose to Texas and KSU away and then the last L is the close one at Texas Tech in which Wiggins scored the layup at the end. So in league we go 10-8. Regular season isn’t looking so great at 17-14.
What’s 17-14 (10-eight) get us for the tourney?? 5th seed in the Big12 tourney facing off against 4th seed KState. (KState wins the tie breaker since they went 1-1 vs #1 seed ISU) We split the regular season with KSU but at their house it took overtime to beat us so we win on a “neutral” court. Next would be 1 seed ISU and we go out to them. Now we’re 18-15. Ouch.
Now 17-14 was WVU regular season record from last year and they didn’t get into the tourney. But we’re a big name having a down year so we go as the lowest seeded Big12. NC State move up to an 11 somewhere and we take their place in the First Four games that pits 12 seed Xavier versus 12 seed Kansas? We’re the 12 vs 5 that always screws peoples brackets. Everyone picks this 12 to upset the 5 of SLU. SLU was the only 5 to survive last year. They are in this scenario as well. We go home in the second round (aka first round).
No Wiggins = less media attention. No KO to fill AW shoes. Cliff picks up an Illini hat and doesn’t do a fake out. Svi is scared and doesn’t want to go to a team that struggled so badly so he’s headed to Virginia instead to show case his talents. Graham stays closer to home because KU isn’t trending on Twitter with the top two in the draft talk. All that love is in Kentucky who just cut down the nets with Wiggins as their leading scorer. So instead a class of Svi, KO, Cliff, and Graham we get a Royce, Milton, B. Anderson, and T. Appleton… Reloaded.
Pop retires after their great run in the playoffs and Bill fields a phone call. Not only are we shopping for a FBHC this year we also had to replace our BBHC that’s now hanging at the Alamo. Zenger hasn’t shown he can hire the right guy for the job with our lowly FB program. Let’s just hope Zenger doesn’t hire Charlie Wise 2.0 to take over the BB program. KU starts the year unranked. Missouri basketball players still mug people in this scenario. We hire Bruce Weber.

RE: Self Granted 6 MORE In-Home's by Brown; UM Gives Up
Throw in “per source(s)” and I think the wanna be experts over at 247 will run with it.
You know media (if you can consider sites like 247 and bleahcer report media that is, hell they’re more like TMZ for sports - a bunch of no talent az clown journalists claiming to be basketball recruiting experts), always wanting to break the story without getting the whole story or the truth. Neither of those things matter as long as you’re first to print!!!
(Note: This isn’t a joke.)

RE: KU REDEMPTION TOUR
The amount, or should I say the lack of actual ESPN coverage other than ESPNU’s broadcast of our Jayhawks representing Team USA is very disappointing. Especially since they’re playing for Gold tomorrow morning. I checked my mobile ESPN and they had nothing about it. But there was an article about Duke getting a recruit for next next year.

RE: Not a positive outlook
Louisville. Michigan (for another yr or two), UCLA, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Wisconsin.
Not sure the shoe co.s have a lot of say in the football world. The AAU money laundering train for football is 7on7 which isn’t as big, yet… The reason I don’t think the shoe co.s have as much swing on the gridiron is Phil’s home school has never been ranked in ESPNs top 10 since The Network started its Top300 10 yrs ago. I’d think BigPhil would be able to sign his Waterfowls a top 10 class if NFL endorsement deals were worth it.
The problem I see is what big item do the basketball players have that the football guys don’t?? The shoes! It’s all about the sneakers and sneakers with spikes aren’t everyday wear. Plus most of us can’t and or don’t play pick up football but we can and do for bball.

Last ten NC and how they did in reg season conference play.
Duke 2014-15 did not win it.
UConn 2013-14 did not win it.
Louisville 2012-13 did in a three way tie.
Kentucky 2011-12 did with ease.
UConn 2010-11 didn’t win it. Finished 9th.
Duke 2009-10 shared with Maryland.
North Carolina 2008-09 did.
Kansas 2007-08 shared with Texas.
Florida 2006-07 did win it.
Florida 2005-06 did not win the east division.
In the last 10 years 6 of the NCs did win it. Three of those six shared it with at least one other team.

RE: #DialloFreed
I have no quarrels with punishing those that break the rules. I do have issues with the repeated inconsistent punishments by the NCAA. Who comes up with this crap? Do they spin a wheel?? 7 games for $165 in one case and 2 games for $800 in another.
-
RE: Diallo is Cleared! Now what?
I’d love for those that enjoy backing the senseless organization we call the NCAA to explain this ruling. How are they not completely and utterly horrible at doing their jobs?? $165 equals 7 (5 reg, 2 ex) games. John Wall had to pay back $800 and missed two games (one of those an exhibition game!!!). The NCAA is a complete joke. Not even close to what you could call a consistent punishment.

RE: Brannen Greene
0.08, 0.09, or 0.16. Over the legal limit is over the legal limit. Be it double or by a 0.01. Intoxicated is intoxicated. It’s against the law. Can’t argue that fact. Did his passing of the sobriety test change the fact that he was still breaking the law?
40 games in basketball if you make it to the final game of your conference tournament and the NCAA finals. Brady missed 9. KU played 36 that season. He missed a fourth of the games.
Ohio State can play a total of 15 games. 12 reg season. One conf championship. Two in the playoffs. Barrett will have missed 1/13, 1/14, or 1/15. But it’s ok because he’s a kid. And kids are invincible. And he didn’t kill an innocent bystander, this time. And he can’t get into an accident because it was only 0.01 over the legal limit.

RE: Brannen Greene
Are you down playing drunken driving? I can guess you have never had someone taken from you by an intoxicated driver. And your casual ways about it also make me think you drive under the influence. Barrett is only 20 years old. Legal drinking age is 21 last time I checked. Urban went easy on him like JRyman said. Brady Morningstar was 36 when he got his DUI at KU. He missed more than a game. That’s a punishment that fits the crime.
And the whole taking the summer semester from him! Oh no! He’s a red shirt sophomore which means he can declare for the draft if he’s stock is high enough. C Jones is going to declare and Barrett beat him out so what’s to stop his people from hyping him in to declaring and forgoing his last two years?
-
RE: Brannen Greene
I don’t think it was that out there. If it was then why was there any speculation on the why of his suspension? I know it started on the bench and then the locker room but he wasn’t mic’ed up for it. Do you know what BG said exactly? Anyone that hasn’t been under a rock the last two days knows what Elliott said.
