Years of following other KU sites emphasizing the negative of the team, publicizing the off court scandals, overlooking improvement, glad for this site. Not a KSU supporter in a shape, but when listening to their broadcasts no matter what is happening they seem to promote the positive constantly, alm ost to an annoying point. I don’t enjoying watching/ listening to critical dialogue from Gurley or Piper. National announcers do that all too often. RCJHKS!

I will warn you. Let me tell you what has happened to me since I joined.

  My wife thinks I'm a weirdo for having virtual friends.

 Sometimes I think I'm a weirdo for having virtual friends.

 You will stay up late trying to research all of the movie, history, religious, sports, government and drug references that @jaybate 1.o puts into each one of his posts.

  You might miss a game because you'll be live blogging so much during it that you won't even see it.

  You might get tickets to a KU national championship game which happened to me through this group of fans. (well, the other site before this developed)  This actually happened, right @brooksmd?

  You might develop an intenser hatred for misery and methsoury all at the same time, although you probably are already there.

  You actually just might have some fun.  Even laugh on occasion.  

  You might argue with someone but they'll tell you it's alright in the end.

Always nice to have someone join the group. Thank @approxinfinity when you can, he’s the one who got this all started.

@Gunman “I don’t enjoying watching/listening to critical dialogue from Gurley or Piper.” That line just made miss the voice of Max Falkenstein. 60 years and 1,750 men’s basketball games is part of the legend–that is one serious career! He was consistently kind, warm, and enthusiastic about Jayhawks. Max was excellent color to the call of Bob Davis. They made a great pair.

We are hitting 20K Users soon. Many thanks to @approxinfinity. Can anyone tell me is KUBuckets a unique, limited identity, commercial free, fan operated site in the country with this many users?

Just like to add that maybe we should give some loves to the KU Women BB Team who is in last place now in Big 12. Go Lady Hawks! Maybe there should be place for the WBB fans at KUBuckets.

@Shanghai_RCJH Sadly, a very large portion of our 20k users are spam bots, but I do appreciate the love… and we do have a substantial number of anonymous users that never register and are in fact carbon-based life forms.

As another KU buckets rookie, I wanted to jump in and give some love to this site. Fun, clever, and intelligent posts. I appreciate all of my brother and sister hawks out there making great comments. I don’t post a lot, but I do when I have some pressing observation on my mind. And right now, this years team is finding a special place in my heart.

No Wiggins, or Emiid type superstars.

No super hyped media frenzy.

Just some young, talented, underdogs that are quietly doin work, and stackin W’s! Gotta love it!

For users like me who don’t really know the exact meaning of Spambot, this is from Wiki: “A spambot is an automated computer program designed to assist in the sending of spam. Spambots usually create fake accounts and send spam using them, although in many cases it would be obvious that a spambot is sending it. This has led to the development of password-cracking spambots that are able to send spam using other people’s accounts.”
