Wind

  • Anybody blowing away? Terrible here!

  • Pretty windy out, and 80 degrees. I’m not a scientist or anything, but gee, wonder if the weather is changing? Used to be May when there were tornadoes, now in December…

  • Lights a flickering, feel like Dorothy.🌬💨🌪. Scared a tree is going to come thru the roof or a window.

  • Hitting around the Topeka area 91 MPH wind reported not that far - lots of 80 MPH had some tornado warnings like close to Manhattan and some other area’s portions of I-70 shut down because of dust storms and tipped over tractor trailers just not a good day

  • Hit a hundo in Russell earlier. My mom called me earlier this afternoon saying windows were getting blown out of buildings, power lines were down, and stuff was catching fire. Bad situation.

  • Very bad. Without power for 7 hours here, imagine it was even worse in more rural areas (I am rural but still close enough to Topeka). Heard Topeka and Emporia had power outages as well. Heard about a fire in Hays. Had bad smoke smell here, but that couldn’t have been from Hays, too far.

  • @BShark smell could be from that far

ya we had some power outages here in Topeka , we was lucky our power went out but came right back on after a couple of minutes here at the house. - -Crazy thing was Every Electric kept sending me texts talking about how they knew we was with out power and was working on it , then they would update and apologize for it taking longer then expected to get it back on , then they would text and say power had been restored - then later they would text again and say they were aware that power was out at and give my address again just over and over and over my last text I got was at like 4:30 this morning and the thing was our power Never was out other then just that short flicker lol.

Was reports that a wall had been torn of the Spouth wall of the Frito Lays plant crazy weather

  • It was so windy here in Chicago that it rapidly cooled the temperatures as all the hot air of the democratic machine blew out away to Michigan where they enjoyed a warm beach day.

  • It was so windy here on the south side someone tried to shoot someone into the wind and the intended target caught it and threw it back at the shooter so fast it injured him.

  • @wissox You have defintely been in some interesting places the last few years.

Where would you want to go for the rest of your career if you had a choice?

  • @mayjay Nowhere! We came back to Chicago where we grew up to finish our careers. I’m loving it back here. Going to HS hoops games all over is awesome. Seeing lifelong friends is awesome. Watching Sox games and going to them is awesome! Being near kids is awesome. My parents are a 6 hour drive now instead of a 2 day drive so that’s great to. Not many days left with them, so seeing them more often is special.
