Bobby P out 4-5 weeks

With an Abdominal Strain. Could play but they want him 100%.

That sucks. Every year…somebody loses out on development time. For sure thought Bobby would be a big part of the rotation. Fingers crossed he returns to good health and learns while he’s down.

The good part is the next 4 to 5 weeks is 4 games possibly just the start of big 12 play

PG is the one area where this team has a lot of depth, so it doesn’t so much hurt this year. It does hurt from the development standpoint because he also can’t go in practice. Abdominal strains are funny. You can do a lot of stuff no problem, but then you twist to get out of bed and re-aggravate it. Just a hard injury to recover from that almost never hits the timeline.

@justanotherfan how does one usually get an abdominal strain. Lifting? Just reaching or twisting weird? Hear about it a lot in baseball.
-
Typically overextending while twisting. Most abdominal strains happen during a twisting motion, which is why golfers and baseball players tend to get them so often. And once you get it, it’s just a slow process to heal because you’re fine, you can go run with no pain, then you reach down to pick up your shoes and are back at square one.

@justanotherfan mondessi! Don’t believe I’ve heard much about basketball players. I wondered about weightlifting or workouts. Thx!
