Ugh. I understand but it sucks to great players around for just a year or two.
-
well - will really be interesting to see what round he goes… to me he is on the hairy edge of making an NBA roster. Obviously some positives to his game namely his speed, but a lot of negatives too. D league would be my guess

@wissox True, but I’ve gotten used to it by now. Nowadays it only hurts when a player has an unexpected breakout year. Like when Wiggins came to KU, everybody knew he was going to be one-and-done, but hardly anyone thought his teammate Embiid would turn into an NBA prospect so soon.
I think Devon could use another year, but there may be family or other economic factors I don’t know about. Good luck to him anyway.

I’ve hated the one and done thing since it first reared it’s ugly head.
Now i’m at the point that i don’t give a crap who plays what or where. I just want there to be some sports going on. Let 8 year olds play in the NBA - bring it.

He’s an early to mid 2nd round pick.

I agree. I understand why he is leaving, though. He has always dreamed of playing professionally, and there is the chance that he might get injured and or harm his draft stock by returning to KU.

Probably so , but most of those guys are getting guaranteed contracts nowadays. Pretty much if you are drafted in the top 45 you will get a guaranteed deal.

Which if he can get a good 2nd round deal it makes going worth it.
