Ok so here is another question with the tourney

  • So here is the thing if YOU were connected in the inner Circle say like staff Who might be a team that would make you feel a little uncomfortable , maybe get your stomach to churn a little , might make for a hard night sleeping some?

I’ve mentioned before in some other thread , I think the team that might be for me just might be BYU. - their age/maturity the way they can shoot the 3 - -43% from distance just pretty solid. They man handled Gonzaga earlier dude Haas is pretty scrappy kid.

So let’s hear you - -who is THAT team you might not want to see fairly early in the Tourney ? - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

KU already handled BYU by 15 out in Maui in November. I’d be more worried about a potential game with Marquette or St. Mary’s in the second round anyway.

  • @jayballer73 Maybe I’m a victim of “recency bias,” but after watching Liberty today, they could be a handful.

They pulled the 12-5 upset (is that an upset anymore?) in last year’s tournament to knock out Mississippi State, and still have most of the top players from that team.

At least we won’t have to face Northern Iowa. I’m still having nightmares from that game.

True they did BUT that was without their best player in Maui - -Fields , pretty dam good and went off for 28/11 against Gonzaga

lol let’s just hope we don’t run across another type of Northern type Iowa team buddy lol

  • Just read that here on Sunday 7 more states now have infections - -2 more deaths now up to 21 and the confirmed cases is now 537 . Plus they have 60 million people in crisis situations in NY & California that’s wonderful news. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • Liberty and Utah State look like a couple of teams that could pull an upset. I don’t want to see ETSU again personally.

  • @kjayhawks ETSU will be a tough out. They won’t be anywhere near the 16 line.

ETSU is gonna be a 12/13 seed assuming they win the SoCon so that would be a potential S16 game

Liberty probably gets a 12 seed so again a potential S16 game.

Utah St. probably gets an 11 seed so KU probably wouldn’t see Utah St. even if they’re in the same region.

  • @BShark for sure they are probably on the 12 line, liberty is probably a 13-14 and Utah state a 10-11. So we probably won’t see them baring major upsets.

Liberty is projected a 12 seed right now.

I think you mean Yoeli Childs. He’s probably the best player in the WCC (no offense to Petrusev or Jordan Ford), and BYU is a different team with him. But, BYU struggles against teams with athleticism and good big men, so I think we would match up pretty well with them. To me, they’re kind of like a worse Dayton. Doke would go for 30-15 against BYU. The worry is BYU making ~ 15 3-pointers against us, like Dayton did.

  • BYU shoots 42.1% from 3 as a team, which is by far the best percentage in college basketball this season.

The 2nd-best team is Oregon, who shoots 39.6% from 3 as a team.

  • Belmont could be a scrapper.

Liberty has 30 wins… Solid team. Utah St is definitely a team that should worry someone. 2 borderline draft picks on their team.

ETSU is a team that can get to the S16 this year. They got one of their best players back in the last week which gives them a 2nd big with their 7 footer.

ya , ya that is he name. Sorry my bad , really good. I think it would be a pretty dam good game. - -worried about nightmares of it being another Villanova game with them draining 3’s on us. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

All kinds of subplots, if this was the real bracket.

@wissox badgers and @jayballer73 feared BYU both a possibility after getting thru Grimes’ Houston squad. A weak 2 in Creighton and everyone’s favorite Duke lurking as the three seed. Oh the bracket fun we could have.

  • The only time I want to see KU-Wisconsin is in the NC game. Then it’s go Jayhawks destroy those scrawny cheeseheads. That being said a mid major on the two to four line is fine with me.
