GOD DAMN IT. I hate being so right. I really hope we dodge MSU I don’t care what their record is or how they finish the season.

They haven’t looked that good this year, honestly. I’d rather play them than Auburn or Oregon honestly. Payton Pritchard is better than Cassius Winston this season.
-
@BShark they’re getting beat now
-
Duke at 5 is bogus

Izzo prepping for a FF run.
-
MSU has committed 3848 fouls in the last two minutes of this game pointlessly.
-
Putting Duke in that weak East would be typical.

In Greensboro too. Less than an hour drive from Durham and Duke University
-
To be fair we play in Omaha a lot.
-
@rockchalkwyo While relatively close it’s still 4x the distance. Duke can be a 5 seed and get those games in the first weekend too. It would be like KU playing in KC every year.
-
We have zero reasons to complain about where we play most of our NCAA games.

They have to play in a Carolina state of course
-
Yeah your right. I think what most are saying is Duke routinely plays in its home state to start the tournament. I think it’s worth investigating
-
Dook gets a cake wake shocking…not. It will be interesting if the 2 west coast teams stay there. I don’t think they are that spectacular and play a schedule sponsored by Charmin ultra soft.
-
@BeddieKU23 Years ago I looked at 1st round sites and found we were almost always within 4-5 hours. Duke and UNC, both regularly powerhouses obviously would switch each year because they would never dream of Duke and UNC in the same regional. If Duke got a close 1st two rounds near home one year, then the next UNC would get it. Since they started the pod system those two teams have been getting more close 1st and 2nd round games.

Gonzaga has a couple of good non conference wins over at large caliber teams (Oregon and Arizona) and the WCC is probably going to be a 3 bid league this year.
The MW is definitely garbage outside of SDSU and is a one bid league unless SDSU gets upset in their conference tournament. They do have a couple of nice non conference wins over Iowa and Creighton who should each solidly be in the NCAA tournament this year.
Neither are great schedules, but not quite Charmin soft either though IMO.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 I’m just not sold on any west coast team. Oregon probably drops at least 10 spots after two double digit losses this week. Colorado a team we easily beat is winning the PAC-12 ad Stanford another team we handled easily is mid pack. Iowa reminds me of Iowa state from the past, really good when the 3s are failing but well below average when they ain’t. They just got hammered by 40 to Purdue this past week. One of my coworkers is from Iowa so I do watch some of their games and they could get hot and beat anyone but I’d pick them out early in March. Just my opinion, Gonzaga is always supposed to be great but 1 FF and I believe 3 EE in program history. They fall out early often. Also Arizona lost by double digits to a bad UCLA team tonight, at home no less.
-
@kjayhawks Those schedules still aren’t Charmin soft. I’m not trying to call Gonzaga or SDSU’s non conference schedule world beating, but if you compare who they played to what Brandon Schneider dies with the KU women’s schedule, that’s a Charmin soft schedule every year. Comparatively, neither Gonzaga not SDSU played anything that soft.
-
Gonzaga’s non-con sos surprised me. A bunch of crap + Michigan, UNC, and Arizona. KU’s didn’t.

Michigan and UNC weren’t expected to be this bad either. Arizona is simply an overrated team. The media went nuts for their freshman early and they are showing who they really are now
-
@BeddieKU23 such a different game once you are going against similar athletes plus good coaches in conference have film on them.
