I had forgotten that Yaklich is their assistant coach. He moved to UT from Michigan. Very good defensive coach. Many feel that he would have been a better choice than Howard to take over at Michigan. But they went for the big name.

Texas is a good 3 point shooting team so KU needs to be focused on D. I’m fully expecting Coleman ( how is he still there) to make 5 threes and Texas to make 10 +.
Hopefully Hawks come out and punch in the mouth and take control of the game.

This is a game we definitely need to win with defense. Our ability to produce offense is sketchy but playing good defense is merely an attitude and plan going in.
Speaking of offense… how about we have our defense make offense? It seems like ages ago when we had a break away score off a turnover.

Baylor down 9 at half to OSU. 'Pokes put up 36 in the first stanza - more than we did in either half against the Bears.
And UNC down 20! to Pitt at half. Not sure they will make the NIT.
