Someone mentioned the NCAA exam for Howard to be able to recruit, which is true. Look, I don’t blame Michigan for wanting to make a splash hire, but have any of these NBA guys made good college coaches? They might as well go ahead and sign off on their upcoming NCAA allegations and get it over with.

Well read this from a poster off the phog , and I sit back and thought about it - - -pondered some on it , and thought hmmmm I suppose what he said could have some validity , I mean it wouldn’t be totally out of the realm of possibility. - -Now Steve not trying to upset you - -just relaying this thought from another Ku/poster buddy - and just saying his thought COULD and again I’m saying it will - -but COULD come to light:
This posters thought process was this: He said he had heard we never really came out and offered Moss the 1st go around - - -yes or no - - -I seriously don’t know if we did or not , so he says he is not really that sure we will strongly persue him the 2nd go around - -his reasoning is - - - - – 1st he thinks that we was focusing on Jalen more then anything - -which it looks like could pay off BUT after Jalen , he is raising the thought/possibility that we might instead of Moss use our other Scholli’s on the development - project of someone like Josaphat Belau - - then possibly just holding the last one for the possibility of re-classification - -I’m assuming he is talking about Walker.
Now I think more likely then not we try to get Moss -and Wilson and then possibly Josaphat - -and leave Walker in 2020 - -BUT the only thing I wanted to mention was I mean he is just not insane - and had some valid possibility - - I mean it could HAPPEN not likely but at least made SOME sense - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@jayballer73 So we’re not going to offer Moss because we need another big? We already have 5 bigs for 2 spots, and we have 5 guards ( 2 freshmen included) for 3 spots. My question is…can Jalen play the 2? Can Ochai play the 2? And I would say no to both. So, when was the last time that Bill only had 1 good ball handling guard in the lineup? Like…never? Now, Marcus can definitely play the 2, but he’s not the greatest at shooting. And Moss has more experience than any guard we have, and he is pretty good at shooting.

Easy Johnny , I’m only passing this along - not necessarily MY thoughts. - - All I said was the poster made some valid points - -don’t be getting the ol britches all twisted up to tight lol.
I think the way he is looking at it the big they might be trying to get or would be trying wouldn’t even be playing this year. - This is the developmental player that they would red shirt next year and let him develop for the following year when we wouldn’t have the 5 bigs you talking about. – We would be losing Doke - -Chances are we will lose Silvio - - and then Mitch graduates - -so there goes 3-5 your talking about with only McCormack and Wilson back - -if they get this kid, and he is coming for a visit by the way - -90% chance he red shits next year - -but that Scholi would go to him - makes sense to me.
Yes Ochai could play the 2 if necessary - -Jalen already been talked about how he can play multiple positions and the 2 has been one of the positions mentioned so ya from the sounds of it he could play the 2 at times also - -like I said don’t hate the player - - -hate the game roflmao – ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Who have you heard from?Nobody who thinks UNC or Michigan has a prayer. UNC folks felt they needed to blow Wilson away and then some, but they don’t think they had a super clear role for Wilson in year 1 and the relationship between Wilson/UNC never really took off like he and Self (who took a very personal role on this one) and Wilson & family.

If Wilson commits who do you all think starts in the backcourt besides Dotson? I would like it to be Moss and Agbaji but I have a feeling that Jalen may start.

@KirkIsMyHinrich Starting - Dok, Silvio, Wilson (who I am happy to be wrong about, and we are signing), Dotson and Moss. Second 5 - Dave, Mitch, Enaruna, McBride and Agbaji. Garrett, Braun (who might be redshirted) and Bilau being mixed and matched. The lineup possibilities are damn near endless (I see Enaruna getting some PT at the 4).
That would be thirteen scholarships, beyond maddening how it all went down but I will be very cool with this team and the freshman class. Five freshman but redshirt one which will give us four, three sophomores, two juniors and three seniors - near perfect class balance. Silver lining’s playbook in how this class fell into place, gonna reap huge benefits for years to come.

I think Moss and Agbaji will start. I think Garrett plays starter minutes at whatever position we need depending on matchup. Wilson will play some 3, mostly 4 I’d imagine.

Ok I realize daniels changed his back to KU for Jalen this morning - - BUT who is the other one that put KU as their pick today?
Went to bed last night and KU was at 44% - -and Michigan 39% - -Then we went when Daniels picked us to 51 % - -we are now at 56% - -and Michigan at 33 % - - anyone know?

I want Agbaji to start. I’m worried about Bill promising starting spots to recruits. I haven’t seen Jalen play a game in college basketball yet. Maybe he is better.

Well one might say - just off ranking Wilson is a higher ranked player he is # 50 and it was said he was under ranked - - - probably handles the ball some better - -rebounds well - course that’s just of ranking - -I don’t think it matters - as been said many many times and how Bill put it - it’s not as much as who starts - it’s who is on the floor at crunch time - - -to many people worried about who starts. - Hell I’ve seen where some players START and then maybe play a whole total of 15 minutes the entire game - -again don’t get to hung up on who starts games - -very easy might not end up majority of minutes

I feel pretty confident Ochai will start. Remember he even started over Garrett last year when we went back to 2 bigs. Wilson and Ochai can’t play together unless Ochai really inprmoves his handle. I honestly think Wilson sees more minutes at the 4 than the 3.

Not over Silvio. I don’t think Wilson starts. Another utility guy who can play 3 and stretch 4.

Don’t think that’s an issue here. Guessing the pitch was more “you can come in, compete and likely get minutes”. Wilson, no offense, isn’t in the perceived must start range to need a promise.
Like everyone else I think Ochai starts. Ochai is a Bill Self type player.

Well saw we just got bumped again we are now at 61% in the CB for Jalen - -up from 56 % earlier today - another pick -really rolling now

Ochai is a much more athletic player than Jalen with +1 year of experience. The only way Jalen starts is if he shoots the lights out and Ochai can’t hit his shot. It’s possible, but i don’t think we will see it.
