Not a big fan of the mid-year reclass. If you want to do it go all in and do it, don’t half-ass it. Kind of a metaphor on life, really.

Whoaa - -was just doing my daily surfing and came across 247 sports - - See been activity with Kyree. - - The CB had been Arkansas at - 33% - Arizona - - 33% -& - -KU - -@ 33%
Now the CB shows KU at - -50 % - -Arkansas at - -25 % – &- -Arizona at - -25 % - -like the looks of that - -NOW we just got to get him to reclassify. - -It was Chris Fisher that put his pick in for KU. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Idk what Shay said but I do know a date hasn’t been set yet. Also KU likes this kid a lot as a project.

Gotta wonder who is paying to keep the lights on over there heh.
I like him a lot too the more I see. I think you have him essentially take this year off while developing and he could very well be in the top 3 of the post rotation next year. He’s athletic and can shoot it a little bit, decent passer.

@jayballer73 Well, the date is set and we didn’t hear anything about a visit with Howard. You wouldn’t think they would set a date and then take visits. That’s said…with this recruiting cycle…I assume NOTHING good for KU ya know?

probably pretty solid thinking on your part. - The last I knew was they were trying to get some kind of a date set - -but heard nothing more - I think that maybe losing the top two that was really involved with his recruitment just really sealed their fate - -like you I just can’t take anything for granted until he actually commits.
Even with him announcing I guess really all we got is his verbal word right? - -I don’t think they have to sign an LOI right now sign the actual recruiting period is over do they? - -man would be nice to finish this year getting him to come and then Moss. - I mean how crazy is this , here we are and we still recruiting trying to get our 2091 roster on the 7th of June - - - JUMIN - - GEE - - HOSSA - - FATS.

So got a question. With the way things now look to be playing out , - - if they do indeed come to being true , the question now becomes for me anyways. Do we continue to recruit Josaphat Belau for our 13th scholli limit player?
I know if Wilson and Moss both commit - -that would leave us with ONE. Do we try and get the kid to take it - -I would think it would be worth the shot , get him to come - -redshirt him and work with him and develop think he could be a good 3-4 yr player - - has he set his visit date? - -do we still pursue him or do we back off? - I’d stay on him I think for the upcoming years. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@jayballer73 assuming his grades are fine, 100% I’d take Bilau. It’s a no risk play. If he doesn’t develop he walks, if he does you’ve got something for another 4 years (assuming he redshirts) moving forward. Best case he turns into Kerry Blackshear.

Actually like his J - got a little range. For sure there is a lot hell of worse players out there. - You can see he has some tools - just needs a little work

@jayballer73 - Yes, it is late in the game. However, there are decent, 3-4 year players left from which to choose. UNC has spots open, Michigan, maybe Memphis, etc. I’m just pleased HCBS can scrabble this together. Heck, with Moss and Wilson, it’s a Top 5-10 team. And there’s still an open scholarship for a developmental guy.
My (our?) personal stress aside, waiting could have helped KU turn out a fantastic team…

I wouldn’t really rea a lot in that. - Everything looking like good - but like others have said snake bit before this season. - -however we also have to remember Jalen had KU written all over him the 1st time before he ended up committing to Michigan, look this way he went to Michigan - when KU was all over him the 1st time – he gets his release THIS time and Ku is ONE of the only TWO visits he took - I think you combining those two scenarios together - think we are sitting ok - on top of the fact - -I sure haven’t really seen anything on the North Carolina boards where they ar thumping their chests which would give me any thought that they are feeling good about their chances. - -So just have to wait - -crazy season. - - ROC CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Man, if this late in the freaking game we get both Wilson and Moss as well as Bilau, are you kidding me? Anyway, it looks like the bad press - at least for us - is finally coming to an end. Add a monster class in '20 to the guys that we have and that we might be signing and look out! I already liked our team for this coming season, and that was without adding those guys.

Bilau visited Tennessee, he reported an offer but I’m not too sure how commit-able it is.

Someone mentioned the NCAA exam for Howard to be able to recruit, which is true. Look, I don’t blame Michigan for wanting to make a splash hire, but have any of these NBA guys made good college coaches? They might as well go ahead and sign off on their upcoming NCAA allegations and get it over with.

Well read this from a poster off the phog , and I sit back and thought about it - - -pondered some on it , and thought hmmmm I suppose what he said could have some validity , I mean it wouldn’t be totally out of the realm of possibility. - -Now Steve not trying to upset you - -just relaying this thought from another Ku/poster buddy - and just saying his thought COULD and again I’m saying it will - -but COULD come to light:
This posters thought process was this: He said he had heard we never really came out and offered Moss the 1st go around - - -yes or no - - -I seriously don’t know if we did or not , so he says he is not really that sure we will strongly persue him the 2nd go around - -his reasoning is - - - - – 1st he thinks that we was focusing on Jalen more then anything - -which it looks like could pay off BUT after Jalen , he is raising the thought/possibility that we might instead of Moss use our other Scholli’s on the development - project of someone like Josaphat Belau - - then possibly just holding the last one for the possibility of re-classification - -I’m assuming he is talking about Walker.
Now I think more likely then not we try to get Moss -and Wilson and then possibly Josaphat - -and leave Walker in 2020 - -BUT the only thing I wanted to mention was I mean he is just not insane - and had some valid possibility - - I mean it could HAPPEN not likely but at least made SOME sense - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@jayballer73 So we’re not going to offer Moss because we need another big? We already have 5 bigs for 2 spots, and we have 5 guards ( 2 freshmen included) for 3 spots. My question is…can Jalen play the 2? Can Ochai play the 2? And I would say no to both. So, when was the last time that Bill only had 1 good ball handling guard in the lineup? Like…never? Now, Marcus can definitely play the 2, but he’s not the greatest at shooting. And Moss has more experience than any guard we have, and he is pretty good at shooting.

Easy Johnny , I’m only passing this along - not necessarily MY thoughts. - - All I said was the poster made some valid points - -don’t be getting the ol britches all twisted up to tight lol.
I think the way he is looking at it the big they might be trying to get or would be trying wouldn’t even be playing this year. - This is the developmental player that they would red shirt next year and let him develop for the following year when we wouldn’t have the 5 bigs you talking about. – We would be losing Doke - -Chances are we will lose Silvio - - and then Mitch graduates - -so there goes 3-5 your talking about with only McCormack and Wilson back - -if they get this kid, and he is coming for a visit by the way - -90% chance he red shits next year - -but that Scholi would go to him - makes sense to me.
Yes Ochai could play the 2 if necessary - -Jalen already been talked about how he can play multiple positions and the 2 has been one of the positions mentioned so ya from the sounds of it he could play the 2 at times also - -like I said don’t hate the player - - -hate the game roflmao – ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
