Burlington Vermont is a GREAT college town! I loved living there for 3 years of my life. I made a ton of friends and the mountains are incredible to look at year round. There is lots to do outside. Lots. Any water sport you can think of plus hiking, skiing in winter, towns like Stowe and Shelburne are very near by and absolutely wonderful to visit. The local food there and the local breweries rival anything in Lawrence. I swear. And, Ben and Jerry’s corporate HQ is there. The building itself does NOT look corporate at all. It looks like a ski chalet. They love their home sports teams there too. College basketball and college hockey, soccer, lacrosse were the big ones there. The atmosphere at the basketball gym there is nothing compared to AFH. Its not close. I think it seats roughly 3500 and looks like a high school gym. Its cool though. For anyone wanting to take a vacation to a new place you’ve never been before, go to Vermont. You will not regret it.
That said, I fully expect our boys to kick their asses on Monday. They have a really good team. They will absolutely keep up with KU for the first 10 - 15 min. The Catamounts should win their league title and make another NCAA appearance.

@wrwlumpy Church Street!!

@Lulufulu did you lose your keys skiing there?

If we beat them, do we get a teddy bear?
-
Wow, really pretty campus, foliage is beautiful.

Vermont probably isn’t quite a tournament team this year (although last year they should have been, but were upset in the conference tourney, so maybe this year they do go). That said, they are a solid low major program. Lots of consistency year to year. They will be a nice test for our team , but I fully expect this squad to pull away in the second half and win by 18-25.

They are the best team in their league unless Stony Brook gives them a run for their money. Stony Brook just upset South Carolina. VT has gone 31-1 in the last two years in league play, they own and dominate. Still have the talent in their league to make it imo.
This isn’t the same type of team that gave Purdue a good game 2 years back in the tourney. Last year was unfortunate for them as they gave away a lead and lost on a last second 3. Vermont likely hover in that 90’s to 115 range as far as Kenpom & other various ranking services go. I think they are too young to predict anything lower

@Lulufulu I lived there for a couple years. I have fond memories of Nectars and their fries and gravy – poutine – not exactly a midwestern dish.
I’ll back you up on the music scene: I saw Blues Traveler play in a small bar in downtown Burlington in about 1990.
