Weird Message Trying To Log In
-
I tried to log in, and a page came up instead of the website, and this is what it said:
Welcome to nginx! If you see this page, the nginx web server is successfully installed and working. Further configuration is required.
For online documentation and support please refer to nginx.org. Commercial support is available at nginx.com.
Thank you for using nginx.
I ended up having to go through a search engine to get to the website. Don’t know if it’s just me, or whether anyone is seeing the same thing.

Is this still happening? I thought it had to do with having to restart nginx after my config changes, which I just did. The problem would have been that http wasnt redirecting to https, which it should be now. Try to go to https://www.kubuckets.com vs http://www.kubuckets.com vs http://kubuckets.com … latter two should redirect to https://www.kubuckets.com and all should work.

I ended up running Norton Power eraser, and found a register error. Might be my penchant for free movies, and free sports events. When I do the https first, it works like a charm.
-
I didn’t even know there was an https. Learned something new again today. Thanks @approxinfinity once again!
-
@KUSTEVE Sure, movies and sports…un huh…the FBI will be by later!
-
@mayjay VPN. Essential to browsing the “interweb”.
-
@approxinfinity - everything works fine on my phone, but when I try to use my desktop computer I get the nginx message. Any ideas? Thank you.
-
@approxinfinity - ooooops, actually took 15 seconds to read the above posts and figured it out. Thank you.
-
@nuleafjhawk excellent!
