Yes it was. Let’s look a this from a Ranking standpoint…I hope the formatting works.
KU - 4 Losses TT - 3 Losses
WV - 3rd BU - 5
OU - 5 OSU - 8
TT - 1 KU - 2
TX - 9 WV - 3
OSU - 8 TCU - 6
Total 26 25
High composite ranking score is better. KU should win vs. WV, OU, and TX. Lose to Tech (Loss 5)
Tech should win vs. Baylor, KU and TCU. Lose to WV (Loss 4)
So it boils down to how both teams fare against OSU in Stillwater. If we lose to TT then we have to win at OSU. And TT would have to lose at OSU for us to get the tie.
I was unfortunately at the KU/OSO tilt in Lawrence, so I would hope Bill would have the boys ready for redemption in stillwater. They are not a great team but we play poorly there.
Looking at the ranking and adjusting the total for away games (an extra point to us since they have 3 on the road), I say we have a slight edge in eeking out the tie for the conference. But it is razor thin. Should we stumble vs. WV or OU, we are done for because I don’t see us winning in Lubbock.

@jaybate-1-0 Well the formatting did not work, darn it. I had the 2 teams in columns with who they play and their conference ranking. When you add up the ranking of remaining opponents, we have slight edge. Looks a lot better in the chart!

Predictions:
KU will lose to WVU unless referees are in the bag for KU. Huggins will convince his team that KU lucked out. Huggie has been here before. Coaches are even. WVU is deeper.
KU will beat TTech. Beard is now in over his head experience-wise. Self has a big edge that is narrowed by Knight game planning in the background.
Svi’s shooting is back after the mouse healed.
Malik is starting to get it.
If Vick takes one more step back to his prior level, KU will be back to invincible on any but it’s 19% 3pt games.
KU shoots well against WVU and it might even beat Huggie.
If KU shoots well against TTech it’s a W.
OU is the only game I am concerned about, because Deuce Young just had his last 0-9 game. He likely will be hot vs. KU!

Question: With all the shootings recently, especially at schools… does the Mountaineer mascot have the right to bring his prop weapon to other college campuses?
On the wake of all the devastation… what kind of message does that send?
I believe in the 2nd Amendment… but what about sensitivity in times like we are in?

Aren’t weapons of any kind banned at the stadium and AFH? Is the shotgun considered a toy or fake prop? Even if it is not operational, it still can be pretty lethal if swung on someone; it is the equivalent of bringing a large crow bar…maybe there is an exception for mascots and props?

Illegal to bring weapons onto WVU property also, but there are a number of exceptions including military, law enforcement, and so forth. The firearm might be considered an “historical item” used in an official activity or something.
But maybe not at KU! Let’s bag the bastard for a test case!
