This team is better in the zone than M2M personnel-wise. Two 6’5 wings that can move and a solid rim protector in the middle. Much better than trying to have a 6’5 guard try to defend a 6’10 post.

@Kcmatt7 plus there seems to be a general sense of improvement overall, coach getting looser, iffy players getting solid, defense getting less soft.
A good time to be a Jayhawks!

@BShark And that’s why he will continue to not beat Kansas. He blames the officiating instead of focusing on correcting his team’s actual problems. Not that I’m complaining. I hope Bruce stays there for 10 more years.

We shot soooo poorly the 2nd half it evened out. Final shooter numbers are pretty normal for this team.

He also just doesn’t recruit at a high enough level. He lucked into Wade (as in, Wade is a player at KSU as long as basketball is being played there). Wade possibly was the best player on the court tonight but then KU had the next 4 at least. And this isn’t even a stacked KU team.

He accounted for 37% of their points in the 2nd half factoring in shots hit and assists. 13 pts accounted for first half, 11 second half.

I went away from the live game posts for awhile for same reason - some of the Debbie Downers here just can’t handle losing a game now and then and really bring the whole vibe of this FAN board down. I guess we all get disappointed and whine on occasion, but some of the hand-wringers take it way too far for my tastes. I find your upbeat posts are a nice counterpoint.

There is such a thing as being too positive/unrealistic. I like to think I am realistic instead of negative along with @HighEliteMajor but I’m not saying I haven’t been wrong on some things, both ways.

The first pix on this thread sums up why I hate a BIG segment of KSU fanbase. That whole Nathan Power (crazy fool who shoved Jamari, & yelled “I hope you die!” to Self) episode, was just about as bad, and in a different way, as that IowaSt meltdown after the EJ39 game.
And, they tainted their superbowl win over KU by those ludicrous actions during the court storm, right on natl tv, earning a swift reprimand from BigXII, and brought themselves the ignominy of having to publicly apologize to the Univ of KS. KStoopid little herd mentality, orgy of dumb (not doom) on display. Wonder how many purple tykes got conceived that night…
Spare me the “fellow kansan” hogwash, why the F would I claim them? They’re like a Judas in the room. I was shocked they appplauded for Mitch.
Just think of UNC-Duke, a FAR classier rivalry. They saw those antics & wondered if this is what KU has to put up with? As Bilas would say, that was “entirely inappropriate”. I dont root for some mudmajor underslumdog who’s 6-24 in their own gym…I root for my blueblood/royalty program.

Let’s just call it what it is AFH West.
Let’s put it in perspective. KU has lost 2 games at AFH this season alone. KU is now 26-4 at Bramlage…think about it…KU has lots 4 times since Bramlage opened in 1988, that is 30 years ago, this is an 87% winning percentage!!! Most every coach would give his right nut and first born to have that record at home!!!
