Mark Aguirre (PLA)–Kind of a jerk, but he could ball. Ray Allen (PLA)–All time great. Period. Chauncey Billups (PLA) Anyone that can rise above Colorado and win a pro ring for LB has to get in. Muggsy Bogues (PLA)–One of the games greatest small men. Marques Johnson (PLA)–Dominant college player. Eddie Sutton (COA)–bottle problems, never winning a ring, and the scandal at UK will keep a lot of people from voting for him, but he was arguably the second greatest coach of his generation behind Knight. And his version of Iba’s 3-2 high-low showed that Dean’s and Larry’s 1-2-2 version was not the only way, and not even necessarily the best way to play it. Plus he took Arkansas, Kentucky and Okie State Deep in the Madness won a ton of games, even quite a few at Creighton. Eddie had demons. Lots of BHOF members had demons. Several of the other coaches that are accomplished only 2/3s, or 3/4s what Eddie did. The kid from Bucklin belongs in the Hall.

I always liked Eddie, the battle we had with him in the 90s and early 00s were tons of fun. I’ll never forget him running down the sideline to shake Collison and Hinrich’s hands on senior day.

Jason Kidd, Steve Nash and Ray Allen for sure, Billups and Hardaway possibly, Webber and Wallace maybe. Bobby Jones and Grant Hill were better in college than in the NBA. Some of the rest are very good players but not quite HOF level and some are eligible but don’t need to be in the list.

Indeed, best 5’3” player ever but as a NBA players go, average at best; definitely not HOF.

I thought we were selecting players for the HOF but I’ll play. If you had to start a team and you could pick your PG from Kidd, Nash, Billups, Hardaway and Bogues you would pick Bogues?

I can’t believe that no one would select Ed Hightower — seriously, though, how anyone could put folks in a hall of fame that inflict carnage on the game is beyond me.
In my book, one name stands above all others on the list of possible players – Mark Aquirre.

Ed Hightower refereed the finals in '88 and '08…I wish he would still be around so we have another shot at the Title.
