Kendrick Nunn was a big time recruit from Simeon HS in Chicago. He won four state championships, but was overshadowed at least a little by teammate Jabari Parker. He ended up at Illinois, averaged 15 a game his junior year and then was dismissed from the team after an arrest for battery. I’d imagine his playing career isn’t over after this season, he’ll play somewhere probably overseas.

This is going to be fun. Living in the metro area, I follow this team and go to a lot of their games. As mentioned, Nunn is really good. I recall that we recruited him. He scored 43 in an exhibition win vs. Central Michigan. 36, I think, when I was at the Ft. Wayne game. Martez Walker played at Texas and is a high Div. 1 talent. Jalen Hayes should play after coming back from an injury and is very athletic. Their point guards, Daniels and Neely are small and quick…they look like baby faced 8th graders, though. Of course, are guards are bigger and quick. This team can be good, but you see that they lost at Toledo and got blown out by Syracuse…Kampe said that the Syracuse big guy caused them all kinds of problems. I expect that we should pull away from them, but if they get hot…which they can…and we don’t shoot well, it wouldn’t shock me if they hung with us…but I don’t expect it. Their 3 high Div. 1 talent guys shouldn’t be able to beat our 7. It’s fun to see our Jayhawks play guys that I have seen play in person.

One of my cousins is an Oakland grad. Actually just called to wish her family a happy turkey day.
I think this is a game KU should win by about 20 but you never know when the bench is so thin. A quick whistle on Doke can make ANY game harder.

To be fair, SDSU played a horrific first half, nowhere near their normal numbers. Part of that was us I’m sure but still something to keep in mind as they did miss some good looks.
